Sharing my shopping experience since I saw some new shoppers asking. I've shopped at MP for like 2.5 years, and finally getting my non-quota KD bag of my color choice. Granted - I never requested a quota bag b/c that's not what I need at the moment for my purposes. (I'm a traveler) so a KD is perfect for my multi-purpose use and that's what I really just wanted. Didn't request for anything else. I have been offered a noir with GHW KD right after my first purchase with her 2.5 years ago (like a week after). But I want a light neutral or light pastel (pink). I was then offered a KP in noir, KD in noir/PHW, KD in beige de weimar/GHW, KD in bleu lin/PHW. So it wasn't that she wasn't trying. I just had my mind set somewhere, but she was always very sweet and tried her hardest for whatever items I wanted. I mentioned I had wanted a rodeo pegasus and twilly combo for my bag in my dream color. And she already has my rodeo pegasus on order for me since a while back. She's been telling me about my KD color coming since like a year ago. But it was "in the making" at Hermes. And she updated me that it's "in transit". and Finally today, I got the text! I'm going to pick up my baby on Sunday! She won't show me photos and said I'll be surprised! BUT - the wait is over and I know she tried very hard for me! Patience is keyyyyy! And I've been happy shopping there. My bf says it's like the only place he wants to shop at. Cause he loves our SA so much and just Hermes in general!

So end game story - buy what you love, find someone you click with that makes your shopping experience fun! And just be patient and know exactly what you want! :D no mind games!

There are 3 Hermes locations in NYC (4 if you count Manhasset). I can only speak for Madison and MP, but only Madison has Mens/Women in different locations. This also won’t be a problem for much longer as Madison is moving and combining the two stores later this year. My SA is based in the Madison women’s location, but has always said that if I were interested in mens items, I would just have to give him advanced notice to go over there. IMHO, it’s less about the store (though Madison is a flagship and likely sees more stock) and more about consistency and your relationship with your SA.

Each store has its pros/cons and will have different experiences for each person. I started shopping at MP and it was fine, but I randomly went into Madison one week, met my current SA who I adore, and switched to exclusively shop with him now. Stock is low across the board nowadays, but I like shopping at Madison because they usually have more stock.

how about for the male shoppers? Any idea how they typically get the quota bags? do they shop at the men’s boutique and request a B/K there? Or the women’s boutique?

As far as I know, the bags are at the store that carries Women’s. I’ve been to Men’s but only the entrance area (is there another floor?). I hesitate to call it the Women’s boutique because it basically houses everything except Men’s. But this fall the stores will merge so it doesn’t really matter, anyway, as long as you find an SA whom you click with - they’ll all be in the one boutique soon enough.

And for anyone considering the trip to Manhasset - they are still by appointment only.

I see. So basically one has to shop at the women’s store. How about purchase history? Will purchased made in 2015 still be viewable in the Hermès’ system?

I just want to buy my things and go home lol. I miss the simpler days of shopping at Chanel with my amazing SA.
You can do this. It’s not that different from Chanel RTW. Just shop with the person you feel most comfortable with. When I started in 2008, I shopped both madison (my home store) and Wall Street (the fun store), and eventually settled on Wall St until that SA left. Now, im back at Madison (it turns out my current SA knew my former one), and the right SA can make shopping easy and enjoyable.

@luxurylover3 , if you want mens RTW or made to measure, you‘ll shop on the mens side Bc that’s where the merchandise is. For small leather goods, homeware, and other categories, shop womens. When DH wants something from mens, we tell our SA and he meets us there. If you are picky about SAs (I have a preferred SA personality type, and tend to go by personal referrals), perhaps check out various stores and see if you click with anyone in particular. It’s possible to consolidate shopping on both sides, and men certainly get QBs. I think the past purchase history should be in the system (I stopped shopping H with a long hiatus when my first SA left, and when I resumed years later, I believe they asked if my billing address was the same)

Our SA at the main store goes across the street for me if I need something for myself. I’d figure that the mens store SAs have access to the inventory across the street as well. Best thing to do would be to ask an SA that you connect with and tell them you’d like a quota bag some day.

And 2015 should still show up on your profile.

Men's has access to Birkins etc. You can work with a men's SA and get "quota" bags, SOs, etc. - however if your focus is on Birkins, Kellys, Constances vs say HACs - it's just going to be easier in the leather department across the street (the main boutique, not "women's" per se - homeware is there too). Priority is given to the bespoke customers at Men's.

This is all moot in a few months anyway when they combine, but right now that's how it works at Madison.

I had an appointment at MP today for jewelry trunk show.. and oh my goshhh… all those sparkly things…please enjoy the attached pics….

and of course.. I’m dying for this gorgeous necklace…I didn’t want to leave the store because of that… but $76K my DH would have a heart attack if I pull the trigger :eek:

PS: if anyone is looking for Lindy 30, MP has white one on display. Plus Evelyne TGM black one…

Thank you for sharing so many eye candies of the H fine jewelries.
Do you recall how much that Niloticus Ombre diamond bracelet (3rd photo) cost? Does it look sparkly IRL? I think it looks really nice.

Thanks in advance. :flowers:

ships in the night! I was up there trying on some regular silver l jewelry and it was great fun to see folks trying on those pieces - a client was ordering either the bracelet or the necklace as I was there!

the Lindy you referenced is so pretty - such a cool icy blue
