I have zero idea how they think that will work or even why the SA would say that. It would be illegal. H already doesn’t charge sales tax on online orders to OR (because they can’t). And H already has stores where there is zero tax on certain goods (i.e. NJ) so this is not new or difficult for them. Sounds like the SA is just confused or (more believably) possibly not wanting to lose you as a client to a truly tax free store.

That's what I thought too. Its really weird. But who knows when the store will open and I would imagine people from all places storm in for no tax reason.

I live in Oregon (not Portland) so would be thrilled if a store opened up here. Is there anyone who lives local to Portland that can say whether they've at least seen the physical store (or the makings of, rather), or are we not even at a stage where there's a location? Just casually waiting for this location to open :smile:

It’s supposed to be in the new Ritz which is fully open and functioning. There were of course delays on that project but generally we should be hearing something I think.

I have not seen anything yet physically at the ritz or any job postings
