What?! Is this per the website or an SA?

Both website and stores. H is no longer shipping in any capacity to states without sales tax. The purported reason is that resellers ship items to tax free states to lower their cost basis which makes them more competitive with the company itself and H doesn’t like it. Chanel created the same policy a few years ago.

Only Oregon and Puerto Rico are completely excluded. There are other states without sales tax (New Hampshire, Alaska, Delaware, Montana) and H is still shipping some things there from what I can see on the website. It doesn’t make sense.

True, but the items most favored by resellers (SLGs and bags) are prohibited to all the tax free states.

On the FY 2024 earnings call today, the Hermes CEO stated that US store openings this year will be in Phoenix and Nashville. It definitely sounds like a Portland store in on hold for now.
