Fair enough. Maybe those posts mentioning a waiting list were a bit older. Thanks!
If you ultimately want a bag you sould start a buying history with an SA. Find someone you click with and build a relationship with that person. Don't ask for a dream bag on your first visit, you need to build a relationship first and then you can bring up a bag. Most ladies I know in Australia spend about 0.75 - 1 to 1 to get a B/K/C, sometimes less especially on your first bag but from my experience you will need to spend at least 0.5 to 1 to get a bag.

That's interesting! I had heard that the first bag was the hardest and after that it gets easier, but in your experience the opposite is true? That doesn't seem very fair if their supposed aim is to reward loyal customers.

i have spent about 2.5 and still waiting =) but I think that is because i am very picky and specific haha.
Oh wow, hope you get it soon!

I have spent over the 1 to 1 and still waiting too. I want another B25 so I was kind of expecting a long wait. I hope you get your dream bag soon Summerof89.
Good luck!

Went into the Collins St store this afternoon to pickup my two online purchases, an orange shopping bag charm and a lipstick case, my first Hermes purchases.
Lovely SA, although took some time to warm her up, I saw a Garden Party 30 in Gold with contrast stitching and a Picotin 22 in etoupe SHW. I loved both but I passed on the GP30 since I desperately want a B30 in Gold and have a Prada in Caramel which is similar shape and size. The Picotin was on hold so I may stand a chance however I’m not sure about it since it’s not my usual style but I was also leaning towards it coz it wasn’t my usual style. LOL.
I did love the GP and even the SA said the GP looked nice on me but I’m hoping I’ll someday find the B30 to make this decision feel like a good call.

It was just appointment only

Ok, didn’t know. Their website doesn’t say anything about appointments although I realised that I was there too early since they only opened at 12pm on Sundays.

Who would’ve thought? I was there at 11:40 am and thought they were shut. Checked their website now and saw Sunday’s open 12 pm - 5 pm. Ugh.

I contact my SA by either calling the boutique (on days that she’s in) or emailing her directly which is how we communicate primarily. Hermes SAs have their own work email, but best to confirm that with your SA next time you see her/him. Edited: No personal emails PT

Unlike my SAs at Dior, Chanel or VCA, my Hermes SA does not give out her mobile number. It seems it is against their policy to do so?

Thank you for the reply, I found it strange not to receive a card after spending $15k in one visit. The SA was nice enough to offer me a Rose Azalee Rodeo PM too when I wasn’t even expecting it and so I thought they were going to be my SA moving forward (I’m in Melbourne BTW, but that thread is not as active). Sadly I only know the first name. But thanks for the tip on calling the boutique, I might do that next time.

Darling I am in Melbourne too, just go back in and make a stronger relationship. an once off spending of 15K is good enough to start asking for a bag! you can also call but a pop in might be better.

Thanks. I’m new to Hermes and find the service lacking especially when I spent so much. Sure I might not be spending as much as others might but it’s not loose change. And I’d be willing to spend more to get what I wanted. Just this whole process has me confused about the brand. I don’t spend as much at other places but get treated extremely well. Chanel and Cartier truly outshine in those aspects.

I just prefer to know that I have a SA to work with rather than now having to try my luck again when I go in store.

Wonder if it’s also profiling coz I don’t look like their typical regulars.
