Hi there - I just spoke to Customer Service over the phone a few days ago and all purchases whether online or instore IS listed in your history. It’s all one system in Australia, from what she said.
And as it should! Purchases online and instore should be the same, sometimes they don’t have what you want instore. The only downside is lack of interaction w your SA.
Online and in store purchases are stored under your profile but I don’t believe online purchases will contribute towards a quota bag. That’s what my SA told me for obvious reasons, ie they want the sales to come through their store directly for commission. That said, it doesn’t necessarily mean you don’t have a chance of scoring these special bags with little spending or spending that isn’t 1:1 or more. Hermes works in a very arbitrary way. You’ll be pleasantly surprised when you least expect it.

Hi all,
Can anyone help/advice on how I can get a Birkin 30 in a neutral colour (gold/black togo preferred) with GHW in Melbourne? I have no prior purchase history and do not intend to get anything else before the bag itself (I'm considering a Twilly but not sure). I'm off to Europe in April so will try my luck there however thought if I can get it here in Melbourne it would be great.

Such poor experience at the Hermes store in Chadstone. There was no one to greet as you enter the store. Found one SA who looked up from something she was doing, I asked for a bags SA and she said they didn't have anyone specific and could ask her while she quickly scanned what bag I was carrying. I asked for the B30 knowing it won't be a positive. As expected she said no it's too hard to get and there is no waitlist. So just keep rocking up, overall piss poor experience from a luxury store. Even Cotton On or Kmart have better experience than what I just experienced. Probably coz I’m not Asian.

I feel bad for your unpleasant experience in store. If you frequent H stores often (anywhere in the world), you WILL come across certain SA's with attitude, IRREGARDLESS of your race. Personally, i will just walk out and take my money somewhere else whenever i encounter such situation. My money, my choice.

I don't think she was rude, just uninterested and inattentive. Also the store was dead, like there was no other customer and was dimly lit. I went in around noon and the shopping centre and other stores were bustling. But the H store felt depressing and dark. I have no idea why.

I ended up spending three hours between LV, Gucci and Tiffany and was very happy with their service and the fact that I got what I was after without the drama.

I’m not sure if the Chadstone store in particular is a terrible experience. I will give Collins St store a go next.

I was thinking with the current state of affairs due to the Coronavirus bans, the lack of Asian shoppers, they might consider other customer demographics to focus on. But perhaps it's too early for that.

I have been in both Chadstone and Collins street. Didn’t enjoy my experience in either and felt snubbed as well. I just did a quick walk around and left.

That’s annoying. If I didn’t love the Birkin and wanted one I wouldn’t even think about being treated like that. I guess that’s why they get away with it coz we have to put up with it to get what we desire.

I don’t hope to receive any better treatment at the Collins St store or even be offered a B30 but it would be a nice miracle.

I mean, I went straight to ready to wear because I wasn’t expecting to find anything in leather and was still pretty much ignored. I was actually also carrying my ostrich b (not deliberately, just happened to be). I get that I’m not a regular there, but still ... when I walked into Chanel and Dior, they were so much nicer (again, not a regular since I am living overseas now but just go in every time I’m home!)

Walked past the store at Chadstone a few time today, at least lights were on and they had a security guard upfront but no customers.
I didn’t bother going in coz I was in a happy mood and didn’t want it to be ruined.
