Hi all,
Can anyone help/advice on how I can get a Birkin 30 in a neutral colour (gold/black togo preferred) with GHW in Melbourne? I have no prior purchase history and do not intend to get anything else before the bag itself (I'm considering a Twilly but not sure). I'm off to Europe in April so will try my luck there however thought if I can get it here in Melbourne it would be great.
I think your chances are pretty low in Melbourne (especially for those colours) compared to shopping in Paris, where the bag would also be cheaper.

Just spoke to a SA re Birkin 30, it’s $16,500.
Hi, would you mind making an introduction to your SA in Melbourne?
I hated my walk-in experience and was hoping to try my luck at FSH when I was meant to be in Paris last month. Now since I won’t travel for a while I would really like to find a way to get my first ever Hermes, a Birkin, here in Australia. Appreciate any help! Thanks

Hi everyone, I've read in posts here that the stores in Melbourne (and Sydney) still have 'waiting lists' for bags that can be open/closed. Do those waiting lists mean anything? Is it possible to ask to be on the list and maybe in 3 years or something you might get an offer? Even without buying much/anything in between? Do they occasionally offer someone on the waiting list a bag if no one else who 'qualified' for one wants it? Sounds like a few people have had that happen but maybe the policy has changed since then. Thanks!

The H trinity ( B/K/C ) are hardest to score due to the scarcity in supply. However, it's worth a shot asking whenever you are in store. U never know when the stars are aligned. G Luck!

Thanks! I guess I was more curious because in most other countries they don't pretend to have a waitlist at all, so I'm curious if this is something that has any function. Like maybe once a year they'll throw a bone to the waitlist just to keep everyone on their toes lol. Because the 'wishlist' that regular customers have seem to be a different entity?

I'm planning to go in to buy a Calvi cardholder, so if the SA seems nice I was thinking about asking about the waitlist for a Kelly at the end lol

I don't think they have waitlist anymore (I think sometimes they just take your name and details to be polite), and even if they did I don't think you would actually get offered a bag unless it was something like a B35 or K35 in a non popular colour, something that no clients with buying history wanted. If you want a B/K/C you need a solid buying history in Australia.

Fair enough. Maybe those posts mentioning a waiting list were a bit older. Thanks!
