Traditionally, KP & KD are harder to get than mini Kelly because of the lower production numbers. I'm not sure what's the recent spend ratio for a mini Kelly at Collins Street but I'd suspect around 3:1 as a starting point.

It's definitely 4:1 for MK, I have a friend who got one at Chadstone not that long ago, I'd say similar for Collins. I haven't seen a Danse on display myself either.
4:1 in chaddy for mini k ? Youtuber i watched said her mini k was about 2:1 iirc and b25 1:1 and that was in chaddy..

4:1 over how long may i ask ?? And for what colour ? Is it normal epsom or more difficult leathers like box mini k? I heard those are harder than normal epsom mini k.
Anyone know if Collins or chaddy is easier to get a qb ? Lol.
Based on what I’ve read on this thread, it would be far less expensive then and more of a sure thing to go reseller

Agree that a strong profile and relationship is needed for this boutique to offer a MKII or a 25QB. I personally don’t really trust social media reports of easy offers (which would include 2X or thereabouts, but that is JMO. What I’ve read about Melbourne seems similar to some boutiques in the US (my experience is mainly FSH, Madison, Singapore. I don’t know of any location except perhaps FSH where 1X will yield anything close to a 25QB without extenuating circumstances.

Seems like i have to keep going.. can anyone please recommend the time frame for spending? If I go back in 2 months is that too late ? Or should I be going in every month ?
Also roughly how much spend per month is considered ok. I'm planning around 5k or 6k 1 in 2 months.
1:1 is not enough, but keep in mind if this is your first QB, you may have to wait a little even after having reached your spending
You are in charge of your wallet, and you certainly don’t have to continue spending if you don’t want to do so. You are focusing on your sunk cost, and there is no guarantee that you will get what you want when a number of posts upthread for Melbourne report 4X or more for a B25 or MKII or pochette. No one on this or any other thread can tell you, go 2 times a month and spend x amount each time and get y bag twice a year. From what I’ve read upthread, in both Melbourne and in the US, prespend fluctuates on the high side and isn’t set in stone. I would never advise anyone to go the boutique route unless one truly loves and would buy boutique merchandise without promise of a bag, bc nothing is guaranteed. I would not rely on any social media posts that report 2X without assuming that there is more to the story. But, JMO
ETA: there have been reports that newer clients can get lucky with less spend (the maison’s effort to be “fair”, but they seem fewer and far between. It’s not a sure thing

Seems ridiculous how Resellers get their bags and sell them for 2x then ? If people are spending more than 4 x for a bag selling the bags at 2x minus commission is a loss. Who would go through all this trouble spending 4x and selling them at a loss???

Well, the only rule is there are no rules. The situation seems to vary from boutique to boutique, city to city etc; you don't know what multiple a reseller is recouping (although I agree the economics of that churn-based business model must be unstable). Also, if something looks too good to be true, it probably is. Influencers flex.
If you only want one bag that is rare, in high demand and therefore extremely difficult if not impossible to obtain without having developed a strong personal relationship and a competitive profile at your boutique, and if on top of that you are not interested in other métiers, you might be happier going with the "reputable reseller" route. If you've spent 1:1 to date on items you don't actually want, then continuing to spend, and buying more items you don't actually want in hopes of a bag from the boutique, is only going to get more frustrating. On the other hand, if you build a relationship with one SA and shop at your own pace with him/her, buying only things you actually want, eventually the bag offers will come. But realistically, it is very unlikely that your first bag offer would be a MKII.
I know someone just got a Noir KP recently. My SA asked if I wanted one, I’ve said no twice because (unpopular opinion) I don’t like having a bag where I can only hold it with my hand and can’t even put it through my wrist if I needed to be hands free. And nope I’m also not a fan of adding a strap for a bag that isn’t designed for it either.
Although..never say never, my preferences may change over time 🤣

I encourage you not to compare. I do not know who is being referenced here but I wouldn't trust what the influencers say.
I feel they fudge the truth to 'brag' and up their sense of self importance.
I do recommend the maintaining a h relationship thread and prespend threads. You'll find it differs for everyone.
