Hi Henrekes,

I know the Collins Street store used to sell Birkins - I bought my JPG (black/palladian) from the store a few years ago - as a walk in. It was on display and available for purchase - of course I snapped it up.

Good luck.

Hello everyone,
I was just wondering if there are any members from Melbourne out there that have acquired a Birkin from the Collins St store.
I have rang and gone in multiple times and Suzie always informs me Collins St does not stock Birkins and the wait-list is closed for that store.
Could this be because I have only ever bought a few Clic-Clacs.
Any Aussies out there being luckier?

YES THEY DO!!!

Was in Melbourne recently for holiday and stopped by Hermes at Collins St. Bought a number of items in my wish list and wanted a few other items but they either didn't have my size or the color I wanted. In the end the nicest SA who attended to me asked if there was anything else I wanted. So I tried and asked whether they had any Birkin available. Honestly I didn't think they would offer me one as I was not a local customer. She said they did not have any at that moment but would checked with ther manager and asked me to wait.

Awhile later the manager came out and introduced herself as Susan (she was simply gorgeous :) ) She explained that Birkin are normally for local customer as there was a quota sent to each store meant for their customers. She asked whether she can refer me to the nearest store in my country. I explained to her the store in my country almost always have nothing for me plus it was 2.5 hours plane ride to get there from where I lived. That was why I normally buy my H items when I am on vacation. She thought about it for awhile and mentioned that they do have a Birkin 40 meant for a local customer who might give it a pass. But 40 was too big for me. Then she asked if I might be interested in an orange SBII ( could be due to the fact I was wearing a large watch with orange leather strap, orange and white clic Hs )
I couldn't say "YES, I'M INTERESTED!!!" quick enough :D:D

The SA came out a little later with the box and in it was the most beautiful and intense color I've evee seen- Capucine SBII :yahoo: :happydance:

Hi ladies, I just rang Hermes Melb and the lovely SA (didn't get her name) got my name down for an order of Evelyne PM in either Bleu Electrique or Lime... she said their next shipment will arrive in 2-3 weeks and then she will ring me.

I was wondering if there's a small chance the shipment will arrive earlier? Has anyone experienced this?

Thanks!

I have to agree about wonderful service at the Collins street store I was just there recently and was very well served. There are no Bs and Ks for visitors but they were willing to offer me a K which I spied in the corner meant for a VIP (and discreetly enquired about) if she didn't take it. It's quite a refreshing attitude since they don't seem to play the games most stores do.

Hi!
I'm from Indonesia and will be going to Melbourne in May for 2 weeks, I would like to ask how many Hermes stores are there in Melbourne and how is the inventory.
Thanks! :)

There is only 1 Hermes store in Melbourne. I'm not sure about inventory. Haven't been to the store for quite some time.
