I've been on the waiting list for a couple of years, but I think that is partially my fault as I had a raisin on order, went to FSH and was lucky enough to get one, changed the order to black with gold and casually mentioned I like gris, so was offered a gris one a couple of months later which I was unable to take.... have been kicking myself ever since. I think I went back on the list a tad, so have been popping in and have been told I should have my black with ghw this year, now have been offered an etoupe which I also mentioned I would be interested in. So rather thrilled and quite hope my black does not arrive too soon after the etoupe.

Thank you for the info and congrats on your new baby! :)

Does anyone know what the stock is like for the Hermes Melbourne boutique? I'll be visiting Melbourne in a couple weeks time for my birthday :smile1:

I was there last week, they had a rouge chaine d'ancre in swift, a few picotin (orange and blue), GP, a bolide, a white tiny kelly and a green tiny bolide.

Scarves were okay, they have several colourway for each designs, but the new fall designs are not in store yet. There were a few twillys. They have a variety of carmen charms, lucky charms.

The ready to wear sale was on but nothing interested me.

In all, they had decent stock but nothing extra special. Had to say most of the staff (even the sm), were rude/ strange. I dealt with a nice SA (did not get her name, but she was an asian lady with mid long hair).

Thank you nguyenp :smile1: Maybe I'll just drop in and see, what's what. Strange/rude SAs don't bother me, but thank you for the heads up!

When I was there on Saturday arvo, there were no Lindys but there was a RG Jypsiere, Bolide, Picotin. They'd also had the AW 2012 carres in (not all designs though!).

This is priceless...:roflmfao:

I won't elaborate but am absolutely on the same page as birkinlover

I only visit the store on Saturdays - to avoid her

I find it intimidating.
afterall, we are the customers.
omg, is it just this store? or it is happening all over the globe? because i find that a lot hermes SA's think that they are superior enough to be rude to customers !

I agree! I have done a few phone orders with H Melbourne and there is one CRAZY lady who is completely awful. She lectured me once when I enquired about CDCs saying I should look on their website first before bothering to call up their stores (which I already had and they didn't have what I was looking for)!?! I tried to point out the website had different stock from individual stores and she just didn't get it! WEIRDO :cray::cray: I mean, do they want to sell their stuff or not!?

There is a guy who works there who is friendly, and a younger girl too.

Hahahha I think you were probably talking to the sm! I was only in Melbourne for a week but I was completely appalled by the staff. The SM treat customers like they're her kids, or she's a teacher and we're her students or something!
My Dbf was shocked by the way a young SA told him to "go away" because she was too busy fawning over a picotin lock purchase (Dbf was standing in line waiting to pay). THEN she realized that I was carrying a B, and switched to be so polite!

I wanted to buy a few things but I refused to let them have my money (except for the 2 things I "had" to get because my H has none)!

WOW - I just don't get it! Do they want to sell their stuff or not! It's often the people the staff think are time wasters that actually have the most money to spend!

My dad often tells me a story of a guy he used to know - incredibly wealthy guy, but he never liked getting dressed up. He walked into Ferrari one day wanting to buy a car, dressed very modestly in shorts and an old tshirt, and they treated him terribly.

So what did he do? Go next door and buy a more expensive lamborghini instead! These silly salespeople often forget that they are only SELLING the stuff - they don't own it! It really, really annoys me!

I know! I hope that customers will refuse to go there, or speak out, so they get the message that even though they are H, they still need good customer service.

It's incredibly stupid to judge people. Like your story - this one I know personally. A person I know is chairman of a very large firm. He LOVES driving his Rolls Royce Phantom in a old worn out tshirt and shorts (even his gardener would have looked A LOT more presentable than he is haha!).

I was talking with Dbf the other day, that in the future, if we decide to go buy, says, a bentley (Dbf's dream car) - we should go dressed up in rags and then buy it right there. :graucho: That should teach SAs a lesson!

Also may I ask, I have never done phone orders before - how does it work?

Oh please do it! SAs are just so RUDE these days - someone needs to teach all of these people a lesson:boxing:

Phone orders are really easy! I bought a CDC from the Melb store - they sent me an order form which I filled out with my card details etc and emailed back to them, and I received it the next day (I live in Qld). The Brisbane store generally doesn't have much stock, so I often call around to Syd and Melb to see what they have :graucho:

Postage cost $20 but I was pretty happy! I'm sure they are restricted on what they sell over the phone though. They sold me a CDC but who knows if they would do it for a bag or something larger.
