My home store is in a competitive city on the East Coast, but it hasn't gone well despite frequent visits.

I know it will be extremely crowded in Hawaii Labor day weekend so I wanted to meet a SA I can click with by queuing in line for both stores ( I know that SA's are guarded treasures so I am not going to ask for a contact info lol). And then if I find a nice SA maybe I can come back again late Fall when there is less tourist in Honolulu.

My dream wish bag is a Mini kelly. Is it harder or easier to get than a B/K 25?

And what do you think minimum prespend would be looking like to be even be considered for a mini k?

may I ask why it hasn’t gone well in your local store despite frequent visits? Nowadays, it seems relatively common to take 3X- 5X assuming you are patient and have a solid relationship with your SA. Stock is limited and SAs prefer to reserve it for local regular clients, such as your friend of a friend. (But without knowing how long this friend of a friend has waited andsimoly knowing that she only shops in one store, I wouldn‘t count on having a similar experience. JMO of course, and YMMV

Hawaii and Vegas do not want to be seen as one hit wonder stores. They know this has become the social media urban legend when in actuality they work with relationships just like any other USA H store. First time clients may be able to obtain lesser bags during their first visit (meaning the entirety of your vacation week) but quota bags are generally only offered to repeat clients who are often called to come collect them so it’s not like they are desperate to sell to whoever is there. Perhaps spending 3-5x could persuade an offer but even then I think at most you’d been offered a Constance.
Thanks for your insight.

For returned customers, is the spending ratio close to 1:2 now? I am debating if it’s even worth it to keep shopping there when I visit for second time this summer (knowing that it’s unlikely for me to visit Hawaii for the 3rd time).

Depends on which bag you are after but yes, it seems like their expectations are pretty much in line with all other stores and it also seems like they make the first quota bag the most difficult.

The game playing is strong in Hawaii. I recently returned from my trip and was able to purchase a few items. First, I visited my SA from the prior year by stopping at the store for an appointment. At first I was told that an appointment will take 2 weeks. Then I said I worked with an SA before. They looked me up and confirmed my purchase history. Then I was granted an appointment vs. waiting in an enormous line. At the appointment, I asked for various items from my list. They had practically nothing. I ended up getting a pair of sandals and belt (forgot to pack one). The SA asked for my wishlist and but had nothing in stock except for a Herbag that was not in a color combo I want. A few days later, she texted about a 24/24 21in touch. I politely declined and that was it.

My family and I went to Ala Moana mid week. Hubby saw that there was no line and suggested that I stop in. I asked for a few things, again nothing in stock. I ended up buying a beret and continued with my day. An hour or so later, the SA called and said a shipment came in and asked if I can stop by. I did. At first it was a Evelyn, which I have and was wearing one. Then she showed me a Halzan in gold. She noticed that my Evelyn was in the same CW and figured I was not going for it. Finally, she came back with a sealed box. Out came a Herbag special edition! It was in Noir/bleu saphir. I immediately said yes.

I honestly thought that it was such a “coincidence” that a shipment came in within such a short time. It is likely that she looked up my purchase history and then decided that I should have a bag… smh. Anyway, as I mentioned, the game playing is real.

I’ll be visiting Honolulu in a month and wanted to ask where do I make the appointment to go into the store? Pre Covid I would just go in but it’s been 3 years since I’ve been. Anyone able to share what I need to do? Don’t think I could wait for a couple hours in line we aren’t there long and the kids and husband won’t be interested in just standing around.

If you plan on visiting the Ala Moana store the lines arent anywhere as bad as the Waikiki store. If you want to go to the Waikiki store, I would line up before they open and wait in line. If you shopped their before, maybe you have a SA name (could be on an old receipt) and call the store and leave a message prior to your trip.

good luck

I am late but would like to share my Hawaii story. I traveled august 2021 to meet with an SA. He was very nice and I purchased a few small items (belt, twillies, shoes) nothing rare and I did not ask for any bags but I did share my wishlist for a birkin. We kept in touch and since I knew I’d be returning in December, I ordered a limited edition watch from him. I picked up the watch soon after landing and a few days later received the magical call. I originally asked for b30 in pink or neutral and was offered a b25 Craie with rghw. I was and still over the moon. I suspect when I go back that I will probably find another fine jewelry item to order.

Hello Loves! So happy to have found this thread.

My family is island hopping Hawaii for labor day week.

A friend told me that her friend was offered a Mini kelly in a beautiful neutral tri color last week at one of the Hawaii stores, but this person goes to Hawaii alot and only shops there. Do stores get these tricolor mini's often? Are they limited or regularly made?

Thank you!
Mini k is definitely harder than b/k 25 and usually not offered as a first bag (unless you are a long time customer with big prespend) good luck!

Hi everyone!! Will SAs in Hawaii let a husband and wife start 2 separate accounts so that’s there’s 2 separate spend accounts to try to each get a quota bag offer in the same trip? Brand new to Hermes no home store prior. Also wondering if what counts towards the spend is different in Hawaii? Do leather shoes, belts and non quota bags count towards the spend for a b or k? Tia!!
Although you can technically do this, I wouldn’t recommend it unless you are planning to spend loads as it would be a shame to not be offered a bag because of two weak accounts rather than having one strong account.

I was offered a gold w PHW mini Lindy last month but it was totally unexpected. It was also my 3rd trip to Hawaii in 8 months. I’ll be back in September and have been in touch with my SA by text.
I’ll be there in Sep too. SF is my home store but I was told it’s impossible to get a mini Lindy in there. May I ask how much did you spend to be offered a ML?

Hi ladies - I’m going to Honolulu next week for a week, and wondering if I should attempt at getting a QB? Do they have a good inventory? Also I a long purchasing history at my local stores. I heard that this might actually stack against me from getting a QB? Unfortunately I’m going by myself so I can’t ask my hubby to open an account. Also can anyone please recommend a SA? Thank you a ton!
