Hi ladies,

Could any of you advise me on the average spending needed to get an offer for B or K from a tourist perspective? (of course, I believe the more spent the better chance it would be but would like to get some heads-up so that I can prepare my husband prior to our visit...)

I think prior to covid, it was easier, depending on the SA, it seemed like the usual range was about 1:1 - 1.5:1.

However, it may not be the case anymore because of supply and it may be that it’s preferred to spend over multiple visits.

Last year I spent 10k and got no offer. A friend spent ~23k in one visit in the Waikiki store on and got no offer for a quota bag but got 2 offers for non-quota bags days after.

I was thinking about 10K but definitely surprised to hear that you did not get any offer... Now I'm scared :crybaby:

i recently made Waikiki my home store as we are there multiple times a year and I just love how chill everyone is there. My SA told me that gone are the days of being a offered a quota bag while visiting even with significant pre-spend. They like multiple visits in order to get an offer. Especially if you are already established with another SA at another store. If your goal is non quota bags though, I definitely saw multiple ppl with mini lindy’s galore last month I was there. And my SA also told me that shipments have been pretty “steady”. Good luck with your visit!!

That is so sad to hear.. I'm in utter dismay :crybaby:

I made my first attempt at Waikiki store, after 45 minute wait, I left. I didn’t even try at Ala Moana.
On my last afternoon/evening Friday, I walked over to H (seeing no line), and there was a sign to enter from the inside of the mall (maybe to help customers wait in the shade)? After about 10 minutes waiting, I was matched with an SA, we briefly chatted downstairs about what I was looking for.
My SA was polite but not my BFF, fine, challenge accepted.

I replied to her that I was hoping to pick up something to remind me of the trip, a SLG, or a bag, (yes folks, I went there and asked VERY NICELY) about pochettes and she nearly laughed at my face. I laughed with her, and kind of shrugged my arms and said a girls gotta try her luck! She showed me few SLGs: bearn compact (I have in other colors), a key chain wallet - which I am second guessing I should’ve got (but I have no keys). And a Bearn compact wallet (color and leather was exact to my Constance compact). I asked about rodeo and or Pegasus and she said she had (I forgot the name) zebra, which I wasn’t interested in. Then I asked maybe a picotine in Nata, she said no bags.

I asked her if we can go upstairs to look at shoes and maybe some RTW. We walked up to the third floor, tried on 3 pairs of shoes and quickly agreed to all, also squeezed my chunky Chunk-self in a black cardigan (I already had the same cardigan in gray and really enjoyed it). By the time I selected all of my items, she was much more friendly, asking me about how long I’m staying, and I told her it’s my last night, she wished I can come back the next day, since she knew they received some shipments. I thanked her for letting me know, but maybe next time, and asked her to ship my items back home so I don’t have to travel back with them.
Now I can take the experience negatively but in all honesty, I’d like to look on the positive side. Stranger walked in, asked to see high in demand items that they can’t even satisfy their local clients, but within short period of time, we communicated to each other that I’m a client worth investing her effort, with a pretty good history of buying items in my sizes, with interest in expanding my home collection.

Honestly, I think I’d like to work with the same SA next time when I’m back in Hawaii, but I’ll def be giving my home SA a text first to send her my wish list items.

I spent a week in Hawaii for the last week of April. Fortunate to get a very friendly SA, his cards said he is a senior SA so I was hope that I got some lucks. The shopping experience was extremely good even though I was not offered anything ( I asked for a P18 that time), he politely explain that for the bags he prefers to offer for returned customers only. I was trying 2 more times at Ala Moana and waikiki later days but only matched up with cold face SA.
After the trip, I visit my homestore and jokingly complain about my back-and-forth trips to stores at Hawaii but got nothing to my SA. My SA laughed and voila !! He then offered me a P18  Don’t feel bad if you didn’t get a bag in Hawaii, you might get a story to tell your SA instead !!!

Congratulations! Haha that's inspiring! Enjoy your new P18!

I haven't heard of many visitors scoring BKC just after one visit as of lately. I think if you travel to Hawaii often and keep the relationship with your SA it may be possible. I travel to Hawaii at least 6x a year so I made it my home store even though I live in the mainland. After 1.5 years, having to switch SAs, and at least 1:1.25 spend (kind of lost count) I ended up finally scoring my K28 noir in PHW. I think I could have scored faster if I would've took the dive into fine jewelry, watches, more RTW early on...but I was/am still a newbie so I'm still learning. If you don't have an SA already be prepared to line up and stand outside in line. I was there 2x this month and almost every time there was a line of at least 6 people. I think there was only one time maybe a Monday around 4PM where I didn't see anyone outside....especially with summer travelers I can only expect it to get worse. You will see people cut the lines since they already have SAs and can sometimes schedule appointments ahead of time...which adds the wait outside even longer. I personally have always liked the Waikiki store over Ala Moana...the two times I visited Ala Moana I felt them to be very cold. Regardless Hawaii is such a magical place so enjoy!

That is a total beauty. Thank you for sharing your story! This is very helpful indeed :)

Waikiki - I stopped by on a Sunday and had a great experience. First day I lined up for 30 min and matched up with a warm SA. He showed me everything in the store and asked me what bags I wanted. I wanted a crossbody bag. I bought a few things and left. The next day he texted me to come down. As soon as I arrived, he happily showed me the bag he reserved under my name. We went to a private area and opened up a nata ghw mini halzan. it was gorgeous but I declined since my lifestyle is too active for a white bag. I think he was disappointed I didn’t take it as he knows bags are hard to come by, especially for a new walk-in. I thanked him for the good experience and got a few more things to take home. So the wonderful thing is I have his contact so I just text him for an appointment. Unfortunately I didn’t time my visit right as there weren’t many shipments. There are more tourists now too. My SA did try to show me a kelly 25 man’s clutch and rodeo charm just to “help”- I think he really wished he could get me something special. I will return to see him again in future trips!

Ala Moana- my husband decided to try the H store for me by himself. First day he went, the SA said sorry no bags. My husband asked for her business card. Next day he texted her. She said promptly I have one black evelyne 29. He went and got it. Viola! What a wonderful time at both stores.

So get a business card, be respectful, visit on multiple days, text the SA around 10am. Buying other things helps if you are new, but not required. Hope this helps you!
