Hi, I’ve shopped there since pre-Covid and my spending is probably over 1:1 including leather goods for my Constance which is now considered a QB in Hawaii.

I have also been told by my SA that the Constance is considered a quota bag.

The Ala Moana store has just received a shipment the other day. This doesn't mean they will have anything to sell you, so don't get upset if you aren't shown anything.

Good luck.

I was in Hawaii for 9 days but did not focus on Hermes. I visited Ala Moana on one of the first days and found the SA to be very uninterested in helping. Everything I was looking for was met with a no (did not ask for any bags except a men's backpack my DH is looking for). She didn't bother checking or even entertaining the idea of checking back. Didn't ask if I was looking for anything else and didn't make any suggestions for alternative items. She flat out said to check Waikiki because their store is bigger.

I checked Waikiki twice later in my trip- there's always a line. First time I waited almost 2 hours- not because the line was long but because they kept having appointments show up and they needed SAs always stationed on door duty. Again SA was not helpful and since I was carrying a Kelly, she told me to stick with my home store because they only sell quota bags to locals. What made the experience weirder was that I asked about Pegasus Rodeos and she said no, but then as we were talking she changed her mind and asked if I'd take any color. Kept asking me that, and I told her any color (I have multiple bags I could match to) but only PM size. So she went into the back and came back with 1 but then proceeded to tell me it's so cute she'd rather keep it for a client. :confused1: She kept acting like she didn't want me to buy it, but I did lol. I asked about mini Lindys, and she said she could help. I told her colors, and she said she'd text me. While in line, I saw quite a few people walk out with big boxes and appointments run in with giddy faces. I'd say at least 10 bag sized boxes leaving.

2 days later (she was off the previous day) she texted and offered a 26 and not in any color I was looking for (or even close), so I declined. I went on her off day in hopes of getting a friendlier SA, but no luck. Everything was met with no's, and again they asked where I bought my bag from. For a store that gets a lot of tourists, they didn't seem to care about helping customers who are loyal to the brand.

The upside is that the store is open late and 7 days a week.

I had a similar experience as stephc005 except I couldn’t even get into the Waikiki store as I was tired of waiting. It’s pretty frustrating to watch others just jump in with the appointments if you can’t get one and then you’re waiting for even longer. I checked out the Ala Moana store too and the SA wasn’t helpful at all. Basically wandered away when I got into the store and said they had no leather bags. I saw other people with big boxes though ☹️ Oh well! I went to the Cartier instead and got goodies.

Waiting to get into the Waikiki store can be painful. I would suggest bringing an umbrella, the line queue has no protection from the weather (Heat or Rain). It seems to be easier to get into the store later in the afternoon (not sure if all the good items are sold by then).

I'm sorry you went through all that. I am from overseas and also had mostly really unfriendly SAs at both Ala Moana and Waikiki. Just one or two polite ones at Waikiki. Which was a shame as there was so much stock that I haven't seen at home (SLGs and other small items, not bag shopping). I do like that the Waikiki store is open late too though. And they're both beautiful stores to visit, the Waikiki one especially.
