Happy online shopping

They arrived today! I'm so happy! Here are the pics:
Absolutely gorgeous K.H.LVoe! Both are are beautiful, and just because one smells like perfume doesn't mean it was a return, perhaps it was near a sample or a bottle. I'm so glad you received them with no problem, and the grey on will look beautiful as wall art! How nice when things go well. Enjoy!!!

Well if I ever want to buy a Kelly, I must resist buying other things for the next year. It will for sure be difficult when I think of all the beautiful things I can buy for the same money as opposed to getting ONLY one bag.

Oh yes, that's always the issue with getting something more expensive. That's one of the reasons I'm not even considering buying B or K for now - I'd rather get scarves and other little things. Good luck resisting temptations! :D

Thank you so much! I hadn't even thought of that possibility, but actually the perfume smell is really good (it probably is from the Hermes line) so I don't mind it at all. I'm still giddy with joy - especially the Tigre scarf is one of the most beautiful things I've seen IRL. It almost looks three-dimensional.

Does anyone know if there's a limit to how many leather bracelets that each person can order on the US Hermes website? Any info would be greatly appreciate. Thanks in advance.

I ordered (my first) two Hermes items online this week, both shipped quickly. They arrive tomorrow from Paris, hopefully they're the ones I ordered.

What I found really odd was this: I ordered the first item, a Citizen Twill wallet in Graphite Swift calfskin. They were also available in Chestnut. Five minutes later I looked at the description page again and now there were none in Graphite available, only Chestnut.

I assumed I had been lucky and got one of the last in a suddenly discontinued color. Then I ordered a Bastia in Natural Butler calfskin with a Cobalt interior a couple of days later. A Sulfur interior was also available. I went back to the item description page immediately after placing the order and VOILA! Only the Sulfur interior is available, Cobalt is gone.

I'm sure there's some reasonable, logical explanation for this, isn't there?

Looking forward to see what you got. I love when the post arrives with a package. It's like X-mas.

If you click repeatedly on an item on H.com - you'll eventually see a prompt for "quantity not available". Quite a bit of what's available on H.com is only available in limited quantities. However, there are some products that are re-stocked regularly. So... although it may be the case that you ordered "one of the last in a suddenly discontinued color" - often, it's not the case at all. :p

hth & CONGRATS!! :smile1:

Long time reader, first time posting.

Just thought I would share my first (and most likely last) shopping experience with H.com.

I always shop at the boutique but like to browse what is new on H.com. I was so excited to see a White Epsom CDC with PHW this week. Whipped out the credit card in a frenzy and ordered. Received the package and rushed home to open and major let down, they sent a CDC with GHW!!! Beautiful, but I don't wear yellow gold.

According to customer service the reference number was correct but the image online was wrong. Really????? Can't do an exchange as there none in stock (of course!).

Never again!

So sorry the bracelet had the wrong HW for you. You are not stuck with this piece, though. Unlike the boutique, H.com purchases are fully refundable with in 30 days of purchase. Personally, I love white CDC with GHW, but if you don't, send it back for a refund. Mistakes do happen, but I have had many positive H. com purchases! Good luck!:smile1:

I see now, thanks for your reply. It's a shame online shopping with H isn't more orderly and reliable. I'll just have to visit the stores more often, a pity that...

I'm looking forward to my first Hermes goodies. I've only handled Hermes items once, in a store. I was extremely impressed with the craftsmanship and don't feel they are over priced for that reason alone. A much-needed dash of style won't hurt me either!

Cheers!

No restrictions on differ type of oders on the US-H web. cheers.:smile1:
I wonder if I'm the only one, but I have actually been limited on my handbag orders on H.com. I had ordered quite a few items for my own personal use (I have never sold anything). Although there is an H boutique in my city, I live in the suburbs and travel a lot, and it was just so easy and addictive to order on the website. And delivered to my door in a couple of days! This went on, happily, for several months - a scarf one week, a bag the next, then a bracelet, etc, etc. I loved having those orange boxes arrive. So then I got up the courage and the energy to go visit my local boutique. I found a lovely helpful sales associate. I returned a few of the items I had bought on line and bought a scarf and a bag. And then on the next visit, another bag. The associate introduced me to the store manager as she was ringing up my purchases ad mentioned that I like to shop on the website. And then, strangely, within days, when I would attempt to buy something on the H.com website, it would take my credit card info as usual, and seem as if I completed a purchase, but then the next day I would get an email to the effect that the purchase could not be completed. The first or second time that happened I just assumed that the item had been sold out or an error had been made in inventory, but after this happened a few times I began to notice a pattern. My scarf and jewelry orders would be processed just fine. It was always the bag orders that were not able to be completed. So I called and talked to customer service. I was basically told, very politely, that "I would have to purchase those items in my local boutique". No reason was given, but apparently I either surpassed some pre-set limit that triggered some sort of automatic shutdown or my local store somehow wanted to limit my online purchases and make me come in to the store to get my H fix.
I really could not believe it. They don't want me to buy their product? I actually had to stop and reassess how much I had bought and I returned a few bags, but I have not tried to purchase any more bags on H.com because I feel personally rejected. I've still bought a few scarves and bracelets online. And my sales associate calked me to see if I was interested in the new fall scarves. I went in and bought a scarf and 3 fabulous bags. Getting the full on VIP treatment in store.
I actually asked the sales associate if she had ever heard of anyone being limited on the website and she said no, it must have been a glitch in the system or something. I really suspect that somehow the website and the stores are in communication and either the company is afraid the website is attracting re-sellers or the stores are afraid they are losing business to the website. Maybe the stores, managers, and sales associates are feeling the competition from website sales?
Anyway, I'm sorry for the long post. I've been reading these boards for months to see if anyone else has experienced limits from H.com. Am I the only one? Clearly the universe or the Hermes gods are telling me I'm shopping too much!

Just IMO, re-seller are mainly making their profits on the B or K even L bags, which never shown up through their E-Commerce (maybe L sometimes), but through their local stores in order to maintain their customers' loyalty for their marketing strategy, your local SA also told their rules of no restrictions for purchasing on their web store. You mentioned that several bags were returned before, for what major reasons? Maybe they think in that way it would be more convenient for you to purchase locally. At least I never returned my ordered products before. However, I think this is not your fault at all, it is between your local H store and their on-line customer service.

make_4_money.....thank you for your input. Although, I have experienced a limit on the US Hermes.com the other day when I place an order for a CDC. The order went through with an email confirmation and then I received another email saying that my order had been canceled and have me call them. So, I called and they told me that I have reached my limit of 3 CDC per a year. I've never heard of such policy.

I'm a Hermes newbie and I've just started to collect Hermes bracelets in May. I have been buying quite a few bracelets online such as clic clac, KDT, KDT Extreme and CDC. I'm just trying to build up a collection for myself. The weird thing is that they told me 3 CDC per a year limit but I have already bought four. I just don't understand their policy cuz' there's no fine print listed on their website.
