Hi, does anyone know whether the US website accepts a prepaid credit card such as “PayPal prepaid mastercard”? I moved to the US a few months ago because of my husband’s job transfer and will stay until the end of this year. I have no job here and can’t make any credit history. I tried my credit cards issued in my home country a few times (both inputting the number and through PayPal), but they canceled my orders after the order and payment had been completed. I’m taking a leave of my home country’s company which prohibits the employees do any side business, so I can’t even open my bank account by finding any short-term job in the US. I don’t want to use my husband’s family credit card for H as well. I’m thinking to make a prepaid card and top-up it with the money I withdraw from my international bank account in my home country if they accept it.

I think as long as there is a "credit card number", and expiration date, and a 3-4 digit CVV code...and all of it is valid/legal, Hermes will gladly accept your money!

They should accept it, and they will also accept Apple Pay, which can be tied to a foreign CC. I can buy on H.com US with my Apple Pay, and the associated CC is a EU credit card.

Hi let me ask a question. Do we need to input the billing address in H.com when using Apple Pay? Do you input your EU address?
Oh I didn’t know that could work.
I thought the billing and shipping address had to match.
It works both ways. You can also buy on the EU websites with a US credit card. Billing and shipping do not have to match, at least in my experience - and I shop on both H.com and H.fr. The shipping address MUST be in the country of the website, though.

I literally just bought a baby gift on H.com this week, shipping to Chicago, using a French CC with a French billing address.

(There used to be another loophole where you could shop at H Ireland in euro, and ship to the UK, but I think that went away with Brexit, and anyway it's OT for this thread.)

I learned something new today. Thank you so much for sharing your experience!

Does anyone know when H.com defaults to 2-day shipping versus ground? The extra 30 seconds to select ground shipping hurts when fighting the bots! (Maybe I should just give in and pay the $35 2-day...)
If it’s an item you really want. I would recommend paying and going with the shipping costs it defaults to. It’s been a few months, but when I did buy online it was ground (I believe it was free then).

Sometimes when I shop for a bag or other item that gets purchased fast, I’d rather pay for whatever is already preselected than be sad and disappointed that I failed to get it.

I call it my disappointment cost instead of shipping cost lol

So I’ve been stalking the H site for my first bag and got lucky with a Picotin a week and an half ago and received it very quickly. Then I saw an Evelyne on the site today and placed an order and it was cancelled. CS said that I crossed the limit so I was autocancelled and that I need to wait a few weeks. I know that there’s a limit on bags per semester or year but since when is there a limit on purchase times in between bags?

I have the same question, I have ordered one bag on the Canadian site this year. Any orders I’ve tried to place after that gets cancelled. I wish that they can be more transparent with the rules so we know when or when not to stalk the site.
