If you bring it to a H store, they will punch maximum of two additional holes on the belt. I take 70 on my waste but they never stock that size any more so I bought a 75 and they punched two additional holes and it's perfectly fine.

Thank you. I will take your advice and bring it the next time I visit Chicago since there isn't a boutique where I live. I'm just frustrated.. I shouldn't have let her talk me into a different size and I don't feel the issue with the belt hole is my fault.

Agreed! I can't understand how they can insist on selling you a different size than the one you want. They are after all erhh... not you! But don't be too defeated because it should work fine after additional holes. And if you need more than two holes you can ask any good cobbler to do it. It's better than buying a belt too short then you really are stuck.

I didn't mind that so much as I know her intentions were good, however, refusing to return the belt due to the belt hole is what upsets me, especially since the belt I returned is too big in size and is now being sent back to me. I had to return the belt that fits, otherwise, I would have two of the same belt. The situation sucks. I believe it is a customer service issue more than anything.

I agree that this is some poor customer service. I hope you are satisfied with the belt once you are able to adds some holes to it. Normally I would say to go higher up the chain as far as management, but I don't know that whoever manages their web orders is directly run by Hermes Corporate. I hope you can find a resolution that pleases you.

Thank you for your reply. I asked to speak with a manager but was sent to a voicemail, however, thus far no one has returned my call. The CS rep was not friendly or helpful in the least.

This is one of the few instances where it may even be worth it to call your credit card company and dispute the charge. Unless you really ripped at it when taking it off, the enlargement of the hole was due to a faulty product.

You can buy one of those tools to make more holes yourself if the store is far away.

I definitely agree with you. I'm still awaiting the call from the manager but have considered calling my CC company. No, I did not rip it at all but you can tell that it has been tried on. This has been the most frustrating experience. I expect better service from a reputable company.

I'm sure this is frustrating, but I think their position is that they won't accept a return if they feel the item is not in saleable condition, regardless of intent.

Hope you can get it worked out to your satisfaction.

I spoke with a manager yesterday and she understood my frustration and agreed a tight belt hole was not my fault. She said she would look into the matter more and talk with her team. I'm not sure what that means. She told me she would try to call me back that day but I have yet to hear back from her. I received the belt back today and took photos in bright light to show any flaw that may be on the belt. For some reason, I can't upload them on here. It keeps saying that it's not a valid file.. it's a jpg.

I understand that, however, I was told to order the wrong size. That can't be my mistake, neither can a belt hole was too tight.
