Has anyone had experience dealing with Gaia-Lux (based in Switzerland)? https://gaia-lux.com (I first came across their impressive website a while ago, but it’s no longer available). However, they still have an active Instagram account that showcases some of the most exquisite and rare Hermès bags from the past year. Just wondering if anyone has heard of them or has any recommendations? I would appreciate any information. Thanks:smile:

Happy everything to all!
Went to my local store for a special event (not sure what the event was about LOL as I went only to purchase FJ). Anywho, was speaking with my SA about a Constance croc I want for next year (or this end of this year and she thinks I may love a Constance lizard (black or ombré color). Anyone with a Constance lizard if you could please share a pic of your lovely bag I would really appreciate it. I love the Constance as an eternal bag (despite the big H as it was in style before it was “in”) I am just having a hard time between shiny croc (my SA thinks I should get a Kelly 25 in croc and my next exotic in Constance lizard), matte croc brown, and now adding lizard to the mix of options.

Black lizard.

Had an absolutely wonderful visit to the boutique for my birthday yesterday! My husband contacted my SA and had it all arranged. She offered champagne, offered a mini bolide in chèvre limoncello and I came home with some thoughtful gifts (Nantucket Watch since he knew I’ve been wanting a bracelet watch I can wear to work conferences and a chaine d’ancre belt buckle since I really like that motif) from my husband and laduree cookies, a little fragrance ornament and some charms to hang on the tree from my SA.

I don’t have a wishlist so my SA prefaced the offer that she wasn’t sure I’d like the color but knew I loved heritage leathers so she thought I would like chèvre. Passed because the color wasn’t right for me and but I’m sure that cute little bag would make someone else ecstatic. I think my husband was a little sad for me that I didn’t get a bag. While I’m not at purse peace, the visit meant so much more to me than a bag, that he coordinated it all with my SA who also made a lovely thoughtful effort to make it special with the bag offer and little treats to take home. I think my love language is acts of service…but I won’t stress that too much to my husband either hahah. Thank you for letting me share!

Happy belated birthday, @Gin&H! Love your entire outfit! So happy you found what you love, and good for you for turning down a bad that didn't absolutely delight you! If anything, your SA will find you the right one!

Did anyone else watch the 60 minutes segment on Hermes? Thoughts?
Yes, watched it & thought the explanation that Dumas shared about an item being costly
& expensive was interesting.
There simply are just not enough artisans to meet the demand & the training is minimum of
2 years & one has to have the hands of a heart surgeon & the thighs of a wrestler.

I read the transcript and then read the distinction between costly and expensive to DH. He laughed and said that only someone who makes very expensive things would make that distinction 😂 Of course, this comment from a man who, as we were leaving my local boutique on Friday, observed that H is essentially a cult!

LOLOL so true! I'm imagining all the little green aliens from Toy Story and instead of saying "the claaaaw"... "the Biiirkin"....

Although I did like what he said about compressing time, and at some point, that comes at the cost of quality.

I actually texted my SM today and asked her if she had a chance to watch it, since I thought it was pretty interesting and was overall a positive piece. She said "not yet!" LOL. Although she did say that whenever they hear Axel or Pierre-Alexis speak, it is a reminder of all that goes into the craft and how passionate they are about the products they make.

Sales of fashion and leather items at LVMH, the world’s biggest luxury conglomerate, have tumbled.

Hermès, maker of the world’s most coveted handbags, notched up revenue growth of 14% over the same period.

Hefty price increases over the past few years have also irked shoppers. HSBC, another bank, reckons luxury products are 54% more expensive today than in 2019. A mid-sized Dior Lady Bag now costs €5,900, up from €3,200 in 2016. Andrea Guerra, the boss of Prada, another luxury brand that raised prices in the past few years, describes the increases as “a blatant mistake”.

It'll be interesting to see what 2025 will bring.

I have in my collection Constance in ombre lizard, for a few years now, and I love it. To my view, the combination with gold H it looks prettier than with one in silver...Will try to upload a pic so you can. (not sure though, how it works here since I'm new in this forum...

Has anyone seen the new Constance Elan 25 in other than Black Gold Etoupe or Rose mauve? I keep seeing references to an Orange Field but not sure if being released until next year! if there are additional colors would lov3cto know. Thank you

Hello everyone! I’m hoping to get some help on what kind of bag to take on my family trip to Australia. It’s their summer season and sunscreen will be generously applied and worn nonstop. Would it be insane of me to take my new Ostrich Kelly 25? Is Epsom safer to wear? Togo? I also have a black box Constance but honestly don’t know how it’d react to sunscreen and let’s be honest, a little sweat, probably.
