What kind of wooden box? The game sets (chess, mahjong) come in beautiful wooden boxes.
And to be honest, they would rather sell a piece from the Home métier than a bag, even of similar worth. They KNOW they will sell bags prior to the holidays regardless- so that part of the budget equation is taken care of.
I was just waiting for the wife so wasn’t paying too much attention. I just saw it was wood. Didn’t see whether it had inlay or not. Just noticed manager and SA wearing gloves, her telling the other SA to move and the box. Wife then came back and we left.
Some exceptional scarves come in wood boxes too
If I had been the customer sitting at the table, I would have been offended. Very rude behaviour by the SM so openly pointing out that the other customer is more important.
Check the latest purchases, there’s a vicuña scarf someone acquired just recently that came in a wooden box 📦
I have that same vicuña muffler and it came in a wooden box also so that seems to be the normal packaging for some exceptional scarves.
My watch came in a wooden box but the box is obviously a watch box however..
Y’all I’ve spent so much time just reading content from this forum over the last week - I think it’s just from the shock of getting a mini Kelly at less than 1:1 spend (a little over year after my first QB at 1:1.2 spend). I asked my SA for a mini Kelly at the top of my wish list for my rainbow baby push present, but I never thought I’d get one and really only asked for it facetiously (I literally told my SA “I’d love a mini kelly but know that’s kind of unreasonable request”). I’m by no means a big spender and I took a large hiatus this year (6 months after my miscarriage). I had about 5 different styles on that wish list that I would’ve been more than happy to receive (2 being non-QB, 3 if you consider Constance a non-QB).
All that to say that I’m so incredibly grateful and blessed that this happened to me and even more in love with the brand to grant me this special moment. I’m also extremely grateful for this forum to share this hobby that’s often misunderstood by people around me IRL (except my hubby who surprisingly happily paid for the push present lol).
Lastly to just get my thoughts out there - Do you think I’ve used up all my goodwill on this offer? Or did I just strike it lucky building a relationship with my SA? Or maybe a bit of both?
Thankfully I’m on a handbag diet for the next year so I can enjoy all the acquisitions I’ve made over the last 2 years so I’m not too stressed about timeline for next quota. 2026 I’ll start to worry again 😅 but manifesting a verso/bicolor/tricolor bag or SO slot 🙏🏻 for the next one.

Nope. I’ve done it in situations where I’m comfortable enough to leave my bag with other bags or lying around and don’t overly worry about it

That’s the plan! Hermes has always been a fun experience for me but there were definitely times when I felt the pressure of “will I get an offer?” so I’m pretty stoked to be just shopping truly for unfiltered fun.
