Ok, a bit of a rant here….

Why do people ask what boutique has offered a particular bag? Do they really think, ‘oh Susie Smith just posted that she was offered a bag at boutique X so let me rush right over and see if they’ll offer me one’? Has not every single seasoned H shopper expressed the view on many threads that countless variables and intangibles can affect a bag offer, and that no two (or 2002) situations are alike?

And, since I’m old school, why do people ask perfect strangers on the internet how much they paid for something? I was taught that that was rude, and puts the person being asked in an awkward position. I do understand that there there may be cultural differences at play here but those differences go both ways and are equally deserving of consideration. Further, the info is usually available in the thread dedicated to current H prices. And should the info not yet be posted a DM would be a way to ask without putting the person on the spot.

Just my view…. :flowers:
ironically, knowing where an offer came from would make me cross that store off my list as I woul

@880, I don't want to derail the Action thread by asking about your Bolide 30 but how do you find so far? Is it heavy? Is it too big for daily use or running errands? Do you think one can use it when traveling? I thought I made up my mind that I want a Bolide 25 but every time I see a 30 I'm like, hmmm maybe that's what I want. :D

Not heavy, and I am sensitive to weight, but it’s epsom. will weigh it later and tag you. I don’t carry much, so it’s mainly filled two interior pockets with maybe something on the bottom, but here is a pic of interior and interior plus gloves.

wow, is this the Bolide you have pictured here?
It’s currently my only bolide :)
I bought my first bolide (31 Nero troika, phw, evercslf/calfhair) at one of the NY sample sales on private day (years ago they had bags). But, I rehomed it and have regretted that ever since lol. Live and learn.

I don’t have a thread on my docride customized birkins. It’s just something she did for me on rescue bags, along with spa services. Unlike H spa, she also lightened darkened handles and cleaned interiors. My art bags were done a while ago, so this is all the info I recall

thanks---funny, the customized LV forums lead me to searching the customized Hermes threads and I stumbled across your post 3 years ago where you briefly talked about it; it must have been meant to be, haha

I have mini Bolides in both chèvre and evercolor. I like them both equally. Neither slouches (not that a mini Bolide can really slouch) but if anything the chèvre is the one with some slight loss of shape. Both leathers take color beautifully.
Thanks for sharing your experience!
What do you think about corner wearing on both leathers? I just heard that chèvre is tougher and does not wear as easily as evercolor so I’m curious…
I did also heard people talking about how their chèvre leather bags worn down to the point that they need to send them back to Hermes for repair…

I don't have issues with corners or any other kind of wear on any of my chèvre bags, although I'm reasonably careful with bags. Any bag that has corners (like, all Kellys and Birkins) runs the danger of banging into things, which is where you get smoothing and at the worst, color loss.
That said, none of my bags in any leather have corner wear at all, except one workhorse B35 Togo.
I only have (I think) one bag in evercolor right now but so far, no issues. Again, I'd happily take a mini Bolide in either leather.

That makes sense… I will proceed with care just like any other bag then.
Thanks again for sharing!
