Can that happen to Birkin as well, the handle flopping down?
Yes, but usually droopy handles on a Birkin are caused by wear to the body of the bag instead of wear to the handles themselves. Although, if the stitching on the base of the handles loosens (especially the top one or two reinforced stitches) that would be another reason this could happen.:flowers:

ETA: The repair process would also be different (and likely pricier) than that of a Kelly handle. It may require replacing leather on the body of the bag or the gussets, both of which would be rather expensive repairs.

Thank you! So droopy Birkin handles doesn’t mean it’s necessarily a fake.

@880, I don't want to derail the Action thread by asking about your Bolide 30 but how do you find so far? Is it heavy? Is it too big for daily use or running errands? Do you think one can use it when traveling? I thought I made up my mind that I want a Bolide 25 but every time I see a 30 I'm like, hmmm maybe that's what I want.
@allanrvj, I know you asked @880 directly but my Bolide 30 is great for all the things you mention. To me it’s also a perfect travel bag, no logos, zip, lock and gorgeous under the radar. I did buy a wider crossbody strap for it, as the thin narrow strap can dig in, though only once when I was looking at/choosing new kitchen hardware, and the designer loaned me multiple pulls that I put in my Bolide. That baby got heavy then, but it held all that metal beautifully. But I don’t usually run around with lots of hardware in my bags 😆 Good luck deciding! Both sound like a great choice.

Thanks for sharing your experience!
What do you think about corner wearing on both leathers? I just heard that chèvre is tougher and does not wear as easily as evercolor so I’m curious…
I did also heard people talking about how their chèvre leather bags worn down to the point that they need to send them back to Hermes for repair…
My two cents - I have one chèvre B and it’s wearing beautifully! no corner wear yet after a few years, and chèvre is my absolute favorite H leather as it’s lighter weight and holds color so well. I have a Vision Agenda in chèvre that has been in every bag I’ve ever carried since 2013, used daily, and not babied at all - it has worn like iron. The corners are still pristine and no wear on any of the resin. It has aged so well, has a lovely hand, and it has had hard use. I also have an evercolor Kelly, and still no issues on the corners after 4 years. But for me chèvre wins hands down. Good luck deciding!

thank you. this is also the info that I am looking for.

I already have a bag that is the same size as the Sac a Depeches 21 that I use for my travel, but I feel like I need to upgrade to something more with space. I often travel to big cities and the power bank + pocket wifi + sunnies already take up so much space. Plus I really want a bag that has a handle and a crossbody strap option, and I think the Bolide 1923 - 30 fits that criteria.

That's why I also asked about the weight earlier because that's my major concern

Hello again! So does birkins in size 30 togo leather start sagging based on number of years (age) or based on usage !?

If a birkin is used less frequently and stored properly will 10 + year bag sag less ?? Thanks

Sounds like anything in chèvre will never be wrong but evercolor is a strong contender too? I’ll definitely keep searching then!

So I bought an Apple Watch band in January at the Toronto store. Fast forward and after maybe 5 or 6 wears one of the metal screws has fallen out and I can’t find it for the life of me. Will Hermes even repair something like this and what would it cost? Or is there an easier/cheaper way to fix this?
That is quite strange. I would go back to the Toronto boutique and tell them what happened. Emphasizing that it was only after a few uses, they should be able to see from the negligible wear and tear on the strap material and receipt date of purchase. Seems like a quality control issue and they should replace it free of charge. I don't think you should have to fix/repair it yourself, especially after paying a lot for an Apple Watch Hermès product.
