LOL, we all need to make a pact, like Fight Club - what we spend at Hermes stays at Hermes. No telling spouses prices!!
Mine was blissfully clueless until he got the idea to get me a new bag for my birthday so unbeknownst to me he started investigating labels of bags I had in my closet and googling...now I can't wear anything without a comment about "the financial equivalent of a car" I have on my arm.
Haha! 💯 I was wearing an H top today and my DH commented on how nice it was and I slipped and said thanks it’s H. His eyebrow raised ever so slightly. I cover it up with this old thing (from a week ago…) No one needs to know. No one! What I spend at H stays at H.

A car depreciates.... while some H goes up. Tell DH you are investing in both of yours retirement :)

If they are not helping you at the moment, the SAs walk right by you as if you don't exist and they have no time to exchange basic human pleasantries. Also customers don't really interact with each other--it's like their mind is programmed to only interacting with the SA when they get the privilege of being assisted; and don't want to be "caught" talking to another client.

Yes - I have always found it strange that H customers don't interact with each other. Some clueless guy will be buying a scarf for his mother/wife/GF and we scarfies watch silently as the SA says only "Does she like blue?" LOL
Thought I would reply here so as to not go OT in the other thread... I wonder if this is a store/SA dependent phenomenon?
I shop at Flagship stores and also a smaller store. I have to say I agree, at the Flagship store, I can't recall having a chat with another random customer (except at special events) and the SAs are usually so busy no one has stopped to say hello to me, another random customer. However, at the smaller boutique, it is a completely different vibe! The SAs, not just mine, are super friendly, and will compliment my outfit or the bag I'm carrying that day. The last time I was there, my SA actually introduced me to one of his other customers who had the appointment before me because he sold us the same jewelry and we were admiring it on each other and had a nice chat. They actually came back later for something else and I was still there and they stopped and looked at the scarf I was looking at and we had another nice convo about it and I told them they should get the vest I was looking at as well. The store manager at that store also is on the floor a lot and always stops and says hello, and the last time I was there, she sat down with me and we just chatted about random life stuff for a good 15-20 min. THAT has never happened at a flagship store lol. So I do think experiences probably vary by store and the store culture is probably different depending on the location, store manager, and overall vibe of that location and not necessarily H globally in general.

My SA moved from a small store to a flagship store about a year and a half ago. I really miss the friendliness of the smaller store! Same as your experience, the customers and other SAs were nice and friendly. The SM was also really nice, and it was a completely different experience than the coldness and mayhem of the flagship. However, there is much more stock at the flagship, and I have no desire to switch SAs!!
