I promise I looked to see if this was covered. I used the knowledge of this lovely community to remove a slight stain from my Hermes scarf. I am a little obsessed in reusing original packaging. I am trying to fold my scarf to fit back in original box without success. Any suggestions? I just got it back from cleaners. They were unable to remove stain but I did!!!

Would love to repackage correctly.

If it’s a 90cm, you can fold it in half horizontally twice and then vertically twice, and then it should fit perfectly in its box. :flowers:

@Jktgal post about H being the brand of choice for corruption brings me to a picture I’ve been wanting to share but not sure on what context. Now I do: I wonder if the active reselling is also a sign of the bags turning into cash. This is a screen grab from the IG of a trusted Indonesian reseller. While trusted, I can’t comment on the authenticity of all displayed as I have not had any experience with them.

On a side note: seeing so many H bags of the same type in different colours give me a strange feeling.

Yup better stocked than H FSH, @Helventara

Definitely H items (bags et al) are some sort of currency for bribery, money laundering, tax evasion, etc - very liquid, appreciate in value even, not too bulky (imagine bringing IDR200million in cash), etc.

Here's a recent case involving bribery in South Africa and Indonesia: "SAP and its employees bribed government officials in those countries with cash, political donations, luxury goods and shopping sprees, the Justice Department said in a release."

I hope this is fine to post here…tell me why wsj writes an article about luxury hand me downs are now worth billions of dollars?!

My dh sends me the article. I play stupid and say oh I can’t read it. He rattles off a few sentences and summarizes it for me.

I adore my dh and he just knows I have a lot of purses and things. He doesn’t know the names, the cost and details. Thanks wsj for ratting me out and using a picture of the Birkin. I’m sure he recognizes it now in my closet.🫢🫣

Bag lovers beware!!! 😛

DH now knows how much H, Gucci, Chanel etc. cost. No more waltzing in with my shopping bags and saying "oh, these? I only spent [insert the amount a fraction of the actual cost]...."

Omg. Out of the BLUE this morning my husband looked at my vintage C18 (which I’ve owned for 2.5 years) and says “when did you get that HERMES bag? Is that a Birkin?”

He has never in his life commented on any bag or clothes I wear other than to say if he thinks I look cute (and btw I wore this bag literally every day on our trip to Paris last year with zero comment from him).

What is going on?!?
