Same here. I am not comfortable wearing it when im out with friends or family because i feel judged with all their questions. First of all, i am able to pay my bills and have no financial baggages. (Most if my friends are not in the luxury space). I only do wear them mostly when im by myself or when travelling where nobody knows me.
@Xthgirl I agreee. I find it hard to wear my H bags with people who aren’t into H as well. It’s either I feel jugdement or I feel like I’m flexing. It’s just not very comfortable for me. I also enjoy taking it out either with either h fanatics or by myself.

Excellent questions - I know it may be difficult but do try to hang on to the birkin - until you test drive the Kelly 32.
Having said that, it is completely lifestyle dependant. I am letting go of my only birkin, because it was an imaginary lifestyle purchase. I bought it during the pandemic as a chic travel bag and I also bought a car. I have since sold the car and the birkin just doesn't work without it. I also have a vintage kelly 32 in box - it fits A LOT but is not as convenient as a tote. When I use K25 is combined with a cotton tote for any impromptu shopping or overspills. These bags are not the most practical options - but nevertheless we love them no? A plume in the larger sizes like a 32 can also fit a lot and is easier access than a kelly. (though it doesn't have a strap, so if you need a strap that doesn't help) Anyway - keep us posted how it evolves. Show us some photos too.
thanks Lady sarah for your reply. I ended up going for the k32 in gris tourterelle and have decided to hang on to my birkin for a bit longer. Here is pic of the new addition…!

Lawyer here and same. Fashion lawsuits are NOTORIOUSLY tricky and H probably realizes it’s not worth it. That said, if dupes become ubiquitous then I think we’ll see a move away from the Chypre by the brand.
Thought I would reply here to avoid veering OT in the influencer thread lol, but I remember that ironically Skechers sued H over a design in their athletic shoe soles! I googled and apparently it was settled in Manhattan court 4/2023! (Skechers also sued other shoe companies as well.)

I feel slightly ridiculous even asking this, but does anyone have an H umbrella? I need a new one and there is one on the website that looks nice. And of course it's an insane price to pay for an umbrella but I'm sitting here thinking to myself, "but I bet it's super well made and will never invert itself like all the rest do in strong winds!" :P
I have the large one in orange and I love it. I recently ordered the smaller one but returned it because the construction was not nearly as good as the full wood handle is sturdy.

Perhaps this is the wrong thread to ask this in, but happy to move it if needs be:

the “resellers” thread seems mostly dedicated to where TPFers BUY their H bags and I am interested in selling some of my non-H bags to fund potential future H purchases- does anyone have a favorite platform to do this? Many thanks.

I saw a gorgeous picnic B25 get offered today! And actually, also a picotin 18 and a 24/24 mini. (Like within the span of an hour.) And my SA who normally takes me into the dressing room showed me 2 mini Constance bags in the open as well. So I asked him what the deal was and he said that corporate is telling them to offer bags in the open so that people can see that YES, there are bags actually being offered. I’m not sure how this will play into their narrative of “we have no stock” though!! The messaging doesn’t seem to jive…
I always wanted to be taken to a back room... but my Birkins were offered on the sales floor of kind of a small store and everyone in the store staring to see if I would pull the trigger (I did). Never did see that back room. My friend who shopped with me had the same experience when she was offered Birkins and a Kelly on the sales floor. This was pre-covid too.
