MEEE!!! LOL. I swear if anything, it sort of looks like a giant Bolide, but even then not really tbh.
Lol riding on coattails.

Oh I see, that explains it. I also love the Vert D'eau B20 too! Both are very nice. Was yours super difficult to get your hands on.
I’ll answer you here as not to go OT in the other thread. It was a total surprise. I was just right place, right time. Spend wise it was almost 1:1 and I’m not a VIP by any means. But I do have a good relationship with my SA.

Wow! Lucky you! I guess your SA had a great morning and decided to surprise you during your visit LOL. I would love to get a B20 in Vert D'eau as I prefer light naturals and pastels, but Gold and Noir are very nice and classic. How much was the retail price if you don't mind me asking? I can't find it on the 2023 or 2024 price list thread.

It’s 35k

2023 Nov.

ETA: I think I saw somewhere in summer 2023 it was “only” 30k. Not sure if that was in euros. So I don’t know if it was affected by the price increase
I think it must've been in euros because there is a Birkin Faubourg Neige for €30,100 on the 2023 price list. The Faubourg Neige is mostly exotic Beton matte alligator with a touch of Clemence for the flap and handles. So... logically the full exotic B20 without all the extra craftsmanship for the windows and awnings should be around €30,000.

€30,000 = $32,350 USD today, but H never goes by those rates, so $35,000 USD makes sense. I wonder how much in Canada tho 😭

We have horrible exchange rates, it'll probably be like a trillion dollars LOL

I have alway been pronouncing it “bo-leed”. Is it “bo-lied”?

I agree with @themk888 H is a French company so the first way (bo-leed) is the way it is pronounced in french. (I speak French - it means racer so it makes sense for a racer bag). The second is an anglicized bastardization of the word. If that word was used in an English context, meaning a large exploding meteor, applying English rules of pronounciation it would be bo-lied.

It's "bo-LEED". Means a fast car or racing car (thus the relationship with Bugatti and the travel bag intended to go in a car trunk). You can say "comme un bolide" to mean "at top speed".
Pronouncing it any other way is like saying it's okay to call a Kelly a "Keeley" or a Roulis a "Rooliss". :shrugs:

lol 😂 . Let us hope H doesn’t come out with a bag names Gilles or Jean. Friends of mine are constantly tortured with anglicized bastardization of their names. Instead of soft ‘Jill’ it is a hard G-ill-es. Instead of soft j, they say Jeeen.
That is the challenge of living in a multilingual community.

The girl admits to ESL. As to my previous post, I am sure she didn’t mean to allude to an exploding meteor. If she was at NASA event maybe. By now, I am sure she has received the feedback regarding the mispronunciation of the bag.
