Hi everyone! I am considering and eyeing a few bags from pre-loved market. There is one small reseller in France, who has B35 in stock and the bag is from 2013 in pristine condition (even the stickers are still on HW) price almost 10k€ (which is too good to be true). The bag really looks unworn in the pictures, there's a copy of the boutique's receipt (and is it easy to copy a boutique receipt?). To me it seems a bit suspicious - how can 10 years old bag still be with stickers (doesn't the hardware oxidize)? I asked about Hermes Spa but they said it hasn't been to the spa. I could get it authenticated by bababebi but maybe the pro-users here say it right away it doesn't seem right.

Thank you in advance!
Given that the bag is ten years old and a size 35, €10K is not at all an unbelievable price. It could also very much depend on the leather and colour of the bag. €10K is actually a rather fair price, in my opinion. I have purchased and seen several dozens of older Hermès bags like that for around the same price (and even much less in some cases). Nonetheless, if you have even a speck of uncertainty, you should have the bag authenticated by someone.

It is possible for the hw to not oxidize given the correct storage habit of owners. I once got a B30 2014 in box for about that. I prayed and prayed, then my friend from H at the time said he could check for me as a personal favor. It turned out gold. :)

Completely normal price for a 35. You can buy a croc B35 for under 25K€.
Whether the HW oxidizes is up to how the bag was stored - just chemistry :) Can be fixed. I would tell the seller that if there's damage under the stickers, you want a credit or ability to return.
Of course, if you are serious about buying, go to bababebi and to no one else for authentication. It is a small price to pay for peace of mind.

For those who are waiting for Hermes plates…

A couple who held their wedding in Indonesia gifted their guests Hermes mozaic plates. This kind of wedding typically has thousands of guests. Hundreds for sure. If normal customer wait for ages for a complete set, I wonder how advance was the order? Of course it’s accelerated, dedicated, special for VIPs etc but still? Hundred of plates all at once within 8 months (reportedly the time taken to plan the wedding)?

Anyway, I thought it’s a fun tidbit for this crowd :flowers:

I'm having visions of a frazzled wedding planner's underling constantly refreshing the Hermes website...
