Omg what a dream bag!!!! Stunning! Thank you for sharing. I guess I really need to go get a feel for the bags in a store first. the hunt is on…
as @Love Of My Life mentioned Box is beautiful and a real favourite of mine especially in a Kelly.
I left it off of my list because you do need to be careful with it in the rain (probably the same with as swift although I'm not sure!)
I learnt the hard way with a non-Hermes Box leather bag when I got caught in the rain didn't wipe it dry immediately and ended up with blisters on the leather, these will not 'disappear.
That said vintage patina'd box leather is gorgeous I wouldn't worry about the scratches its just rain blisters that are my personal worry!

I know I’m kind of terrified TBH but then I did take my little C18 to Paris last winter and it rained a bunch and nothing happened, but it wasn’t really pouring just kind of lightly misting. Anyway I’m thinking Chèvre or Swift… once I actually find a reseller I am confident in

Well enjoy the experience in finding your bag & if you do come across a Kelly BOX in a 32 hopefully
you will keep an open mind.
The image that @tinkerbell68 has shared , just speaks so beautifully how BOX leather wears &
with character to say the least, JMO
And of course the strap just is the right touch, IYKWIM

I saw a gorgeous picnic B25 get offered today! And actually, also a picotin 18 and a 24/24 mini. (Like within the span of an hour.) And my SA who normally takes me into the dressing room showed me 2 mini Constance bags in the open as well. So I asked him what the deal was and he said that corporate is telling them to offer bags in the open so that people can see that YES, there are bags actually being offered. I’m not sure how this will play into their narrative of “we have no stock” though!! The messaging doesn’t seem to jive…

In your opinion is it utter madness to consider vintage from TRR? It seems like there would be less fakes if vintage but perhaps this naive of me? I have gotten most of my bags (Chanel) from WHACA and the quality is excellent and I could try them on etc. Is it a terrible idea to trust TRR for vintage H?

I don't think it's a terrible idea to consider TRR but if you do see a bag on TRR you should have
it authenticated. That's for peace of mind. Also bags are not returnable at TRR
You need to know the bag hasn't been repainted as well
If you have the opportunity to try a bag on at a reseller, go for it & again authentication is
paramount.
Good luck in finding your bag

I saw a Chanel boy at TRR that I really fancy, just also wondering whether there could be fakes there? I don't believe a fake Chanel boy could be pass around as real without you knowing. I mean you would know right? I'm so conflicted now that someone has mentioned TRR. Has anyone bought something that turned out to be an actual fake? OMG. Terrifying.

Thank you — I have looked through this thread but honestly it is so long and kind of veers off into very specific very personal grievances that I became overwhelmed. But I do see quite a decent amount of seemingly good looking vintage on TRR for not very much $ (relatively speaking!) so I’m always tempted. I shop a lot with them for other things and have had good experiences, but I’ve been bag-shy due to the no return. I suppose if i got it authenticated and it was fake i could argue it out but it seems exhausting to contemplate. Anyway thank you to you and @Love Of My Life for your thoughts!

As bags are not returnable at TRR- you can insist that the bag be sent to a store near you, for you to see and try in person. Examine it carefully, take the appropriate photos, send for authentication, and then at least, you have a basis upon which to make the decision "Do I want to buy this bag?"
Honestly, this is applicable for any piece that is not returnable- either that or its a quick "NO!" and move on.

I've had good experiences with TRR, both selling and buying. I found my vintage BBK28 on TRR years ago. It was in excellent condition and at a great price. I had it authenticated by Bababebei and then spa'd by Hermes for a touch up. When I dropped it off at Hermes they were amazed at what great shape it was in. It really just had one spot where it needed some attention. So if you find something that you piques your interest, it may be worth looking into. As far as their no-return policy, it's not as rigid as you think. They offered to let me return a bag that was listed as a different color but I ended up keeping it as I loved it anyways.

Thank you both- very good advice and thoughts on the matter. I will continue my bag stalking!

I've noticed a few posts lately where people are praying to God that they'll get a bag/appointment in Paris or attributing a bag offer to God's will. I'm not religious but am curious how common this is. To me, this is not the sort of thing I'd think any god would be getting involved in or that I'd even be asking them to get involved in. Is there a more materialist bent to some religions that I'm missing? If so, maybe we need an "Hermes miracle" thread :P.

I think saying you pray to God for something is just a figure of speech.

Hi everyone! I am considering and eyeing a few bags from pre-loved market. There is one small reseller in France, who has B35 in stock and the bag is from 2013 in pristine condition (even the stickers are still on HW) price almost 10k€ (which is too good to be true). The bag really looks unworn in the pictures, there's a copy of the boutique's receipt (and is it easy to copy a boutique receipt?). To me it seems a bit suspicious - how can 10 years old bag still be with stickers (doesn't the hardware oxidize)? I asked about Hermes Spa but they said it hasn't been to the spa. I could get it authenticated by bababebi but maybe the pro-users here say it right away it doesn't seem right.

Thank you in advance!
