Went to the Nice, Cannes, and Monaco store about 1.5 weeks ago. Nice had low inventory on bags and slgs. SA's were nice though. Didn't purchase anything.

Monaco store had much more stock. Really liked how they had a lot of scarves and bracelets on display, not mostly hidden in drawers. SA there was fantastic an for really knew how to sell and provide advice on accessories. Not offered a B, K or C. But she showed us the one size fits all K belt which I really like among other items. We ended up getting a couple of small items.

Cannes had the best stock. But no B or K for us (didn't ask about a C) SA was very helpful. They had a nice fine jewelry section but the bracelet I was looking for, they didn't have my size. Ended up purchasing a couple of scarves. Which they offered to deliver to our last stop, Paris, for us as part of their new service in France instead of us lugging our items around from city to city. Picked up in Paris about 4 days later.

No B or K or Constance or Evelyne or Pico or GP in Cannes just one week ago.
They only had a Victoria , a few small Berline and Halzan, period.
They told me that they had been very busy one week before and had nothing left.
I didn't ask about scarves or bracelets though.

Almost forgot that when I went on 10/27, they had just sold a GP (in a dark color) to another customer. I had a quick glimpse when they took her to the back by the jewelry area. The customer ended up purchasing it and at check out, asked for a second GP but they refused her saying they wanted to limit the number of bags per customer so that everyone had a chance.

Just adding to this thread. The Nice store is actually the last remaining store in France owned by an independent and not owned by Hermès directly. This may finally change once the old-lady owner retires and gives up her franchise. It was renovated in 2018 and reopened a few weeks ago. Their stock is usually not as good as Cannes and Monaco, in part because the clientèle is much more high end in those cities than in Nice (which is a bigger, more middle-class city compared to luxury resorts Cannes and Monaco). Last I visited, they barely had any bags for men.

The Cannes store changed location a couple of years ago. It is now located in the spot formally occupied by Le Festival restaurant, further east on La Croisette. I have had good service there but the store can get very busy during the summer.

Very interesting! I may be wrong, but I had also understood that the Tours store (if still around!) was also a franchise. I went there a year or two back and could have sworn that was wait they said. They also had a lot of older season stock for things like silks.

Very interesting, indeed! I didn’t even know that there was a store there. It seems that H has been buying out all their old-time franchisees over the past few years. But maybe they are also a remnant of yesteryear? I’ll ask my friend whose husband used to work for H.

I was at H store in Tours last summer and the wonderful gentleman who helped me told me that they are a franchise store.

Went to Monaco store yesterday and played the H game, no luck though, I did see a Croc Constance Long Wallet Beton and RGHW, was tempted but I’m not really looking for a wallet. Does look nice as a clutch. Then today went to Nice store, wanted Gold Oran sandals but didn’t have my size so I got a pair for my mother. DH swears he saw two different people get led to “the back room”, but we didn’t wait around to see if they came out with anything. Questions, DH thinks it looks bad that I bought something for someone else, is that bad or frowned upon by SA’s? Which also got me thinking, do you waste building credit at a franchise store and is it better to spend at a Hermes owned store? But I guess it’s more if you find the size/color you need you just snatch it up. Also, since this isn’t your home store, do you guys have any tactic with scouting out which SA’s you think will be able to score with? I think I accidentally picked a newbie but she was the only one available) and didn’t know which scarf I was referring to (maybe my bad French pronounciation?) so I had to show her the picture, which leads to another question, is it a faux pax to bust out your phone to show the SA a pic? Did I hurt my chances by doing this? Ahhh!!! The mind games they play on us!! Sorry for overload of questions. Headed to Cannes tmrw and St Tropez to try my luck, then to the mothership FSH. I’m hoping I score something! Please send me your good H vibes!!

To be honest with you I think you are over analysing. If you see something you love, just grab it. With Hermes, it's really down to luck. Sending good vibes your way! Let us know how you get on!

Any recent updates for these locations. We will be heading to the area in late May, around the time of Formula One.
All luxury stores of the French Riviera are usually well stocked during this period because it’s one of the busiest times of the year with the Cannes Film Festival and the Grand Prix.

The Cannes store is my home store. It moved from its original location in the Gray d’Albion to a new location further East on the Croisette a couple of years ago. It’s a lovely boutique. The staff is usually nice and welcoming, except for one guy I can’t stand (he’s bald, easy to spot!).

The Nice store is owned independently and is pretty small. It was renovated recently and looks very sleek.

Enjoy your trip! If you have time, I strongly recommend going to spend a day or an afternoon at the Club Dauphin in Saint Jean Cap Ferrat. My favorite place in the world! You’ll feel like Jean Cocteau.

Last month, I visited the Nice, Monaco, and Cannes and was able to visit each store once. In the Nice store the SA explained to me that when the bags come in they sell quickly. I got the impression they don't receive too many shipments of B/K/C.

I met a lovely SA in Monaco who took the time to go through swatches with me to help me finalize the SO in Paris (offered to my husband just days prior). She was happy to help even though I was only shopping for twillies. She did say we were lucky to be offered a SO in Paris as SO in Monaco are only offered to VIP. If bags come in and are not accounted for by VIP they sell to tourists.

In Cannes, I walked into a crowded store with lots of customers and not enough SA's. I waited around for a long time with no one to help me. Finally a gentlemen SA approached me. I was direct and inquired about birkin 30 in neutral color, and said I'd be interested in bag charms and twillies as well. He went away to take a look. Came back about 8 minutes later saying they don't have stock for what I'm looking for. I ended up chatting away with him also getting some advice on my SO. A lady SA was so sweet to join us, offering her opinions about leather/hardware/etc. As I was about to leave the store, I asked them if there were any Constance available, that I am open to size as I have never tried it on before. The lady SA looked at my original SA and says let's check availability for her. He told me he would have been happy to check for that earlier along with birkin. He came back in 8 minutes and brought out C24 Beton with rose gold hardware! I tried it on for a good 10 minutes but declined. Both the SA and I agreed it was not a good bag to wear casually with jeans. He asked if I ever visit Cannes to come back to try my luck.
