Completely agree - I was in NBS on Monday and overheard someone starting the SO process for some shoes. Their SA was telling them about a lovely breakfast they'd had in the London store, only 20 clients, and mentioned that some people had "flown over" for it. My SA has also talked about appointments made in London for VVIP clients of other stores in the US and Asia. I think for some people with more than one residence and frequent trips, they are probably considered local in several countries. Maybe they have children at school or uni here, or parents and friends they come to visit often.
I don't think the lady that wanted the croc bag within a week would have been offered so many options without a significant pre existing relationship - I would imagine their spend in one year eclipses what I would spend in 10!!

Currently on the Uk site: Constance to go in Etoupe, Geta in Mauve sylvestre, Picotin 22 in Gold, a few Roulis slims and a few Rodeos! Better stock than any of the UK boutiques! Though I did see a couple of Constance slims at CP the other day being offered.
More added! Various Picos 18, 22, 26 in different colours, a Herbag, a red Bolide 25.

Seems August is not a bad month for bag stock! I know the online store & boutiques have separate inventories, but seeing that the website has had a few decent bag drops this week, might be worth dropping by your local store to check stock if you’re after a bag, you never know!
I feel like I live on the website now. I’ve been trying to get the daisy Picotin for months and no luck - it’s never available even though I see it on the website several times per month. Hoping that it was an true Hermès fan who got it and not a reseller via bot. Seeing how many of these picotins are listed on reselling platform with very minimal margins it doesn’t make sense to me why resellers are getting these bags.

I hear you. I have the same problem but with Radley, the items I want to buy are shown as available but keep giving the ‘oops’ message just like h.com

Have you tried asking your SA for the daisy Picotin?

Same :( i want a so pink one with pink hardware so badly and I’ve spent so much time in the boutiques and also on the website but with no luck - it just sells out before it even appears. I pray that they go to people who will love them and use them, it makes me so angry/sad that resellers are just abusing the platform for cheap gains. Idk how I would feel about my life if thats what I spent my days doing…. Taking leather goods from people who really want them to make a marginal profit and calling that a career

Actually the lady did say it was her first time visiting and that she was leaving the UK in a week, hence why I thought she was a tourist. I was also surprised that they just happened to have a few Kellys in the stock room unspoken for!
There are always bags available in the back  She is likely a tourist that came in and dropped a large amount in one visit and was offered a bag.

Hi. I’m a relative Hermes newbie. I have 1 bag (preloved etoupe garden party 36). I’ve parted with my money once in the Cadogan Place store (spa visit for above bag).

I’d really like to expand my collection and specifically I’m after 3 things:
1. Cashmere muffler in neutral colourway
2. Day sneakers: black with palladium or black HW
3. Evelyne 29 in black Togo with palladium HW

My dream bag would be a Kelly 32 (black, retourne, palladium) but I’m not sure it’s within my means as I’ve just had to leave my well paid profession for health reasons and my earning potential has taken a bit of a thrashing!
So I want the above 3 items because I genuinely love them, not as a means to an end on a quota bag journey.
Plus I’m a cross body bag kind of person.

I can’t buy it all at once so this is a medium term mission and I’d like to go new rather than preloved on the bag.

In terms of non-quota bags and shoes/accessories stock am I best heading back to CP or try New Bond Street?

I live a 90 minute train ride from London, don’t get the chance to visit often, and when I do I usually am a bit pushed for time so I can’t do both.

I liked the 2 SAs at CP I interacted with when dropping off and collecting my bag but NBS is closer to kings X/St Pancras.

Also, do you have to make an appointment to purchase shoes/scarves or just turn up and queue?

I’d be very grateful for some tips from you lovely ladies (and gents)

You don’t need an appointment, just turn up and sign in to the virtual queue. Weekdays are best, especially in the morning. You can also try calling Customer Service in advance to check for stock (non-bags) and they’ll be able to tell you which store has the items you’re looking for so you can plan your visit accordingly. Be warned though that stock moves quickly!

If you’re not in the market for a Kelly anytime soon, why not buy the muffler and the sneakers online? Non-quota bags wise, I’ve seen people offered these at both CP and NBS, though I get the impression that CP is more walk-in friendly when it comes to bag offers. I also just prefer the atmosphere and service at CP a lot more than NBS

One option to consider also is to try either 1) both NBS and Selfridges or 2) both CP and Harrods in one visit to London, as these pairs of stores are within walking distance of each other (2) more than 1) though).

Thank you. Very helpful. Yes, I’d wondered about buying online but thought a store purchase might help just incase I ever can justify a Kelly in the future. Plus I would like to try the sneakers first to get an idea of size.
