Thank you! Do you know that can we get the other bags: mini Lindy, geta… Or most bags are on wishlist system only.
Only quota bag applies to the wishlist here. So you can absolutely query a mini lindy, picotin, geta etc in store. We are lucky in London to have 4 stores in close proximity: Harrods, Selfridges, Cadogan Square and New Bond St. Good luck!

I’m moving to London for a year soon. I’m sad about leaving my home store and SA for a while…but not sad enough to not get some shopping done in the meanwhile. Is it worth it to start a relationship with an SA at one of the London stores, or should I save my H shopping for the (hopefully many) day/weekend trips I plan to take to Paris and connect with an SA at FSH? I’m not expecting anything grand, but maybe getting a bag to commemerate my first year living in Europe would be nice. Thanks !

Since you will be living in London for a year I would work on a relation with an SA and try to put a wishlist in as they last 12 months. (This does not guarantee you will be offered within the 12 months) Do some shopping between both locations and see what happens! If you build a relation in Paris I believe the SA can try to make leather appointments on your behalf or prepare for a QB offer prior to your visit.

These days, you may need a lottery appt for a bag in Paris, so try for both, but perhaps focus on London
Good luck !

thank you @shermes @880

Seeing as I may be in for some decorating, how is the homewear stock in the London boutiques? Which location might be best for variety in tablewear and home textiles?

also, men’s RTW would be a treat if one location is particularly well-stocked.

I would definitely prefer Paris. My experience is that they are easier to connect with and for sure the better availability for the bags. You can pop up there , order some home wear and connect with the SA-after the couple of visits sure the right bag will follow. In London it can takes ages , the competition is too high and they like to offer bags to locals. Good luck!✨

Many Hermes items have interesting stories behind the design (especially homewares), perhaps use that as an intro? Choose something interesting and ask about the design philosophy or history. You can even research before and say "I heard that this was designed because...., is that true?" (This will also help if the SA is new and does not know which is common at NBS!) For instance, Pierre Hardy's use of black spinels and rose gold in jewelry to pay homage to black box leather and Barenia. You can find all kinds of fun tidbits on the H website as well as here :flowers:
Thank you - that's a good point! I guess I'm usually quite shy and even fearful of some condescending SAs I've heard of, so hadn't thought of asking these questions. Will definitely try to bring these points up :amuse:

It's a good icebreaker IMO, and almost everything has a story. Focusing on discussing an item's heritage can take the pressure off the "game" (which as everyone here knows  I think is only partly real).
Again, it is shopping for beautiful things, this is a fun and luxurious experience , and it is (IMO of course LOL) best to approach it this way.
FWIW I have had horrendous SAs here and there but the majority are lovely people who just want to have a nice interaction, and are focused on the long term.

Is it allowed / common to place a new wishlist when your wishlist has just been fullfilled? Or is it better to wait some time?

Witnessed a beautiful Kelly 25 gold retourne at CP granted as a wishlist for someone. I asked how long was the wait and they said 8 months. It felt that they just received an email and came to collect it (vs being with their SA).

When my wish was fulfilled last year I was told I had to wait 2 months before placing a new one .. not sure how true that is but I waited 2 months! Still waiting for that wish go be fulfilled but it’s a mini Kelly so I suppose that’s a very difficult one to get fulfilled!
