Hermes boutiques in London

When I picked up a Kelly from Cadogan Place the manager emailed us and asked us to come in early in the morning before or just at standard opening if I recall, he had all the orders out and the customers would be shown their bag in the leather goods section and then go to the counter to pay. No one except staff and clients with bags was in so it was quite relaxed as no one was there eyeing up your items. However, I think most deliveries now occur in the early afternoon so this may no longer be the case.

Yeah that would have been best.

1) It would have felt a little bit more special having the bag shown in a private space.
2) It felt quite uncomfortable having death stares from observers (this one family had quite an intense gaze lol!), and being questioned about why I was offered a bag so quickly and without pre-spend...
When I was first offered my Kelly I decided to sleep on it overnight, and as she packed it back in the box all eyes were on my SA, she laughed and whispered “I’ll be asked about this bag when you leave” and indeed she was grilled by other customers who wanted it…

Same thing again when I went to collect it!

Wondering if anyone went to the Christmas event/ party at NBS? No wildlife spotting or casual meet ups? Am not currently in town but these events are normally such fun to attend and really interesting too.

Hello everyone,
I’ve been looking for the mosaique tableware collection, particularly the sushi plates. Those who collect tableware, have you seen one in London boutiques?
Many thanks!
When I enquired about them (both the Gold and Platinum) in September they were completely sold out. Try calling customer service, they can check stock in all 5 boutiques for you. Or visit Harrods (3rd floor), the SAs there are tableware specialists and should be able to advise on stock levels/wait times etc.

As others have said, try the Harrods concession. I have found them to be generally very helpful and well stocked. For example, when I was looking for a tea pot last year at Bond St, they did not have it but told me to try Harrods as they had 5. Went to Harrods and got my tea pot!

However, unfortunately when both my friend and I have visited independently of one another on 3 separate occasions in the past 3 weeks we were both met by a very very unhelpful SA who was not keen to assist in any way shape or form, to the point where my friend refused to buy an item he had been looking for from this SA and told me he would rather see if he could wait for it to be transferred to NBS or wait for it to come in stock there (or elsewhere). Maybe the SA was just having some bad days (as we all do!).

I did see the gold sushi tray on the website earlier in the year so maybe try there - I regret not buying it when I saw it as I requested with my SA in the summer and still nothing sadly. Happy hunting!

I am not sure if they carry the Mosaïque (is it available outside H stores?) but Thomas Goode on Audley St has a pretty good selection of Hermes china. It may be worth phoning them up? They certainly have quite a lot of my favourite Cheval d’Orient and I have also seen Passifolia, Carnets d’Equteur and several others.

thank you for sharing your experience. Ugh dealing with a snobbish SA is very upsetting!

Anyone had any experiences with the smallest H shop in the world (London Royal Exchange branch in the city)? It's really cute and has a nice cosy feel to it. I recently placed a wish there and was of course told it will be very unlikely to be fulfilled given it's the smallest shop etc etc. However you never know!

Appreciate any of your insights. It's convenient for me to pop in in between office hours.
FYI if anyone is interested, they had an adorable Kelly backpack in Gold.

Otherwise very tempted to make a trip to Paris next year to try my luck there.

It’s a very friendly store and you may find proximity to your office both a blessing and a curse - there’s many an occasion where I’ve popped out for a sandwich and come back with a scarf.
