It really isn’t causing me any stress or worry……just curiosity as was speaking with a friend and I had heard of this recently and didn’t know if it was that regimented
From my personal experience, I don’t have the impression that it is that quite so regimented, i.e. ‘spend 1:1 = get offered a bag’, the spend ratio likely differs based on the specs of the specific bag one may be looking for. I was asked whether I wanted to put in a ‘wish’ after I have started regularly shopping with my SA. I never considered my cumulative spend, but I don’t think was even close to 1:1 at that point. However, given that whenever I stray into H something or other makes me go , by the time I was offered a bag 6 months later I very probably spent more than 1:1…

I was genuinely prepared to bite the bullet and buy a picotin today. I just moved to the UK so don't have a profile (but I do have one in Australia). I went to Selfridges, Bond Street and Harrods and got told at each one that no picotins were available. Are we seriously at the point where I have to play the game for a picotin? Is it genuinely just a supply chain issue? Or did they just not like me?

I'm going to Dublin this weekend - anyone think I'll have better luck there?

xxx
They just don't have any pico's, they are very popular and stock is low

I spoke to an SA at Harrods and he said the wishlist is actually run by Paris, meaning the decisions to offer bags/grant wishes are made by them instead of the store’s SM, much less the SAs. The SMs and SAs are only told about Paris’ decisions and then reach out to concerned clients. Now this could just apply at Harrods, or could turn out to not be true at all, who knows? But if it is true, well, then the role of the whole ‘relationship building’/loyalty to 1 SA or 1 store is probably not as big as we think it is.
Interestingly, I heard sth similar from my SA a while ago. I have a good relationship with her and my wishes have all been fulfilled ( even for some very sought after pieces). I am a very chilled customer so it is not necessary to find an excuse. I don’t push her at all..

She just simply mentioned that the wish-list system is somehow managed by Paris when it was firstly introduced. I didn’t ask for any details though. And I think that statement can be interpreted in so many different ways…

Same here, my wish is not at Harrods so the SA didn’t have to find an excuse with me either

I’ve been having interesting experiences in different stores lately. I’ve seen bags and they are still telling people there are no bags.
My guess is that the clients have been waiting for the stocking reload for so long that H stores now have a backlog of wishes to fulfill - not the actual wish list, but normal bags wishes.

Hi guys, I’m a H newbie and was just wondering whether every boutique has BKC tester bags in all leathers and sizes?

Purely asking as I’m quite overwhelmed by the leather options and not sure what size would fit my frame / not look too big (I’m 5.4”).
Boutiques have tester bags but not in all leathers or all sizes. Maybe visit Harrods and Cadogan Place as they are within walking distance of each other so you might be able to try on various options in one go.

I was told by my SA to make my appointment and wait at Hermes Femme (that’s what he calls it) and whatever else I wish to see may be brought upstairs from the ground floor. I think it’s a great idea to keep up social distancing and stay safer.

I think that's because it's called Women's Universe in English, so I'm guessing it's shorthand for the same/similar in French like Univers de la Femme.
