No l haven’t ,l would never pay 2-3 retail price for used bag plus l won’t have retail shopping experience ,hopefully l will be offered Birkin at some point .Is it true that Many people get offered these quota bags during Xmas season ?

That is not the case with genuine pre-loved that might be a few years old, which would be what I think maxroxx. . had in mind.

You are thinking of brand new bags, scooped, up from God knows where, by resellers who then sell them at a premium.
Nonetheless if what you really want is a Birkin or a Kelly, you could do worse than look for a cherished older bag, that could be as good as new, but you will be able to buy for much less than today's cost.

I completely understand what you mean about missing out on the shopping experience, but you could get that many times over with silks, SLGs, footwear or other items bought with the money you saved.
You and your SAs would be relieved of the embarrassing pressure of you angling for a quota bag and you would probably get the coveted 'Is there anything else I can get for you?' question.

Yes l asked 2 sa cards and l been shopping all the time as That same store ,so first time l forget to ask sa card ,second time l went in l ask lady card and email her and got automotive response (l am away until may 21 th so contact boutique directly) and third time l went in l made bigger purchase ,get taking to sa and ask his card ,once l come home l email him thanking him for serving me That day and l got no response back ,so really confused and sad
Don’t feel discouraged, have you tried contacting any of the SA’s whose details you have ahead of a planned visit? Not saying it’s right but they are quite busy so may not reply to an email with thanks. However, if there is anything you are currently looking for (other than B/K/C) you could reach out asking if it’s in stock and set up an appointment?

Echoing what has already been said by others, if all you are after is a B then the fastest, most efficient AND probably cheapest route is to consider preloved. That way you get exactly the bag you desire (even if you get an offer, it may not exactly match what you want) in the shortest time. When you consider the pre spend, time and effort, a premium over retail may still be worth it.

There are plenty of reputable resellers, and bababebi is recommended for authentication so lack of retail experience isn’t quite the issue you think it is…

Good luck on your hunt!

When you go shopping in Rods, HN, PJ or Selfridges do you always ask for a SA's card and email them to thank them for serving you? For just doing their job? If you can honestly answer, 'Yes,' then I beg your forgiveness.
Why should you be 'confused' or 'sad'? That is an unnecessary reaction. As far as the SA was concerned you were just another customer, trying to ingratiate herself.

thank you @WhiteBus Your post puts into words my thoughts 100% regarding buying from the preloved market.
I was actually going to post that the 'boutique experience' can be enjoyed by making other smaller purchases-You put it very succinctly as always.

Please forgive me for saying so BUT-Confused and sad is an overreaction on your part.
Be confused and sad if someone you are dating doesn't respond
Be sad and confused if a dear friend doesn't respond to an email
These are Sales associates with dozens and dozens of clients-they work 8 hours a day with an hour for lunch.
The 8 hours are mainly spent on the shop floor serving customers -if they have a moment they probably quickly scan their work phones to see if any regular (or old) customers want to make appointments or have a remote request for an item....then they respond to them.
(I speak from experience on the above point-I work in luxury sales)
Sending a polite response back to your 'thank you' is not a priority.
A client SA relationship is built over time.
And SA's can smell someone who is a desperado for a bag a mile off.

One happy news to share with all. Today my wishlist for a B25 gold hardware came true. I received a text message from my SA that my Kelly To Go wallet, in my exact spec, has arrived last week but I couldn’t collect on the day due to work commitment. He also informed they have found my wish bag. The news came out of the blue as I know all stores in UK have been running low on stocks and to receive this piece of news just before my birthday it is just unbelievable. To reinforce the low stock condition I was told by my SA they ran out of ribbon so my boxes will be tied with stickers.

After my wishlist is full filled today I made a second wish list on the spot.

p/s I renewed my wishlist the second time in June when the first one wasn successful.

Which store was it, and when did you make the Wishlist, June? I made one for a K in the Selfridges concession end of spring. Wondering if it's going to happen! congrats on yours!

The 2-3x retail is not for used bags. It is for new in box bags that resellers managed to snap up through their networks.

You can expect to pay a few thousand over retail for a very gently used bag in a popular color and size.

I will never not be bewildered by people who want "the retail shopping experience" but are willing to buy and buy, stress about SAs, and be on waitlists in order to eventually have half an hour in a private room with some Perrier and a new Birkin. You can go into your own closet and pop some champagne with far less stress... ;)
