I was in SS a few weeks ago and found a similar situation on twillies. It could be that they are waiting for the winter stock. I looked at 90x90 silk carres and it was a similar situation although i did come away with a Grand Theatre Nouveau. I’m finding the web site is better at the moment. Ordered a twilly of it yesterday and it arrived today!
Agreed that the website is much better (though of course purchases there don’t go in our store profiles…) I also ordered a couple of Rodeos a few days ago and they arrived the next day, pretty impressive considering that they came from France!

Nice work there on the Rodeos. I’m currently working on the basis that I’ve got a better chance of buying a ready meal than a Twilly, mini bag etc in a H London store. But I’m finding similar with LV. No availability for what I’d like in London stores - you can at least check on their web site. I rang them and they said web site is best. That also comes from France

Perhaps they are all waiting to see what a post pandemic world looks like for footfall in stores. H and LV have the stock but they are not currently sending it across the Channel. But these stores are on v costly prime real estate. Perhaps in future web purchases will count…

I typically am not fast enough to snag the Rodeos but I guess it was 10th time the ‘charm’

Sometimes the SA can request or order an item from continental Europe so maybe you could consider that? Though that will take longer than ordering from the website for sure (and for some reason they can’t just order straight from the website:confused1:)

Out of interest , were you taxed above the price of the goods on the Hermes website? I heard that this would not happen but would be good to hear

I went to NBS and Hermes Harrods last week. I was looking for twillies but they literally each had about 6 in total - and not a great selection of colours. Is everyone else finding this - does anyone know if things are better in the Sloane st store?

They didn't even have half of the AW21 silks in a fortnight ago.

It's not an emergency, I'm still catching up on SS21, but it is annoying.

A scarf has taken a 10 days (although it's a personalised one).

The stores are a bit too crowded for my liking atm, but I would go if the right scarves would come in.

I’ve been waiting for the Tea Time scarf since it was ‘on order’ for me from one of the boutiques in July… Granted I haven’t seen it online either so maybe it’s really out of stock :-s

Stores can be crowded but at least at NBS, SS and Selfridges one can browse while waiting for an SA to be available; at Harrods there is always a horrendous queue, you can’t even browse and it feels like they have 3 SAs in total working or something:doh:

The only reason I'd go into H Harrods would be if I had something on hold and reserved for me. Even then, you'd have to tranquillise me first :panic:

I know we should take youtubers word with a grain of salt, but did anyone watch Lydia Millen's latest video where she claimed her SA told her online purchases count and a profile doesn't really matter? I know London operates on a wishlist system (and some have received offers after making one purchase), but does building a profile help at all? I have had my wishlist in the system since April and spend 1:1 but no luck yet!

If profile ”doesn’t matter” then how do “online purchases count”? Count for what? Often, SAs say whatever they think the client wants to hear. London certainly works in part, on some sort of a waitlist…until it doesn’t. From all the many social media accounts/avenues that I keep up with, I’d argue that London isn’t all that much different than everywhere else. More spending and more face time, equals better bag chances. Some people get lucky and ask for a bag that has just arrived and (along with their large purchase) receive it, others get a call out of the blue several months after placing a ”wish”, and some never get a bag. We’ve seen people in this very thread get a call for their wish list item just a couple of weeks after placing the wish and it was a very popular size and color…except it wasn’t actually the full specs that they “wished” for so why were they even called (if you believe them when they say it’s pure waitlist hierarchy)? It’s all smoke and mirrors, imo.

I agree.

I recently visited CP (Cadogan Place) and witnessed a customer complaining that they had not received a bag offer after waiting for 8 months. There is absolutely a priority on the wishlist for certain clients, i.e. those who spend £.

I suppose it also depends on what they want. Some customers are very specific so they might not get offers until that bag in the right specs arrive. Eg if they ONLY want a Ombré Lizard Kelly 25 they might have to wait until 2023? Or never?

This is not guaranteed that you will get your bag within 8 month. I got my bag offer after renewing the wishlist once. This is very hard to explain or predict when will you get the bag offer. I went to get a pair of twillies and suddenly the SA came with an orange box. Sometimes you went in spent few big £ but nothing is available….. they just keep u waiting .
