Had a wonderful first Hermes experience today in London. Started at the New Bond St store, but left because the queue was long and they said no leather appointments were available. My husband decided to try his luck at the Cadogan Place store - walked straight in and met with a leather specialist. By the time he called me to join him, they were already setting up a wish list for me! Then I had a super fun time trying on Birkins and Kellys in different sizes and styles and being shown all of the leathers and the colours. The specialist was incredibly helpful, friendly and knowledgeable. Came home with a beautiful scarf! So much fun.

Hey that sounds so much fun. I do not own a single piece from Hermes, but this year my husband is getting me a push present, and I really want to buy something from Hermes. I love an Hermes bag. But I'm sure its impossible to get this in the first go. So I am thinking to buy an H bracelet and loafers for myself to build a relationship with a good SA. I have read very harsh comments about the Hermes store at Bond Street. Now I am just too scared to visit that store. I am an ordinary gal who loves luxury and enjoys purchasing things online if possible., but since I want to build relationship with a good SA do you recommend the store at Cadogan ? Do you recommend any SA ? Do they have any bags in stock ? Also , how was your experience at the Bond Street store??

Sorry for so many questions

Hi all!

I am in love with Hermes. I really want my first Hermes Birkin 32 or a Kelly 25. But to get to achieve this bag, I know that I have to go through a huge process. I am an ordinary gal who loves luxury and prefers an easy shopping experience. But achieving an Hermes bag from the store in itself is a whole different experience. I have read horrible reviews on customer service at the Bond Street store. Its too scary. Which store in London is your favorite of all??

Hey! We had a great time at that store in-person, so yes, would recommend. I’ve also subsequently had a great remote experience (booked a remote phone appointment) with the Royal Exchange store, so would also recommend them, but I got the feeling that they try to cater to people working in the city as opposed to visitors or other clients, so might be worth keeping in mind. I can’t really speak to the NBS store, but I didn’t get a great feeling from the concierge person, which is why we left and went to CP in the first place. I don’t think I’d go back there again. Not sure about bags in stock!

Hi,
If I may suggest, make yourself appointment in Bond Street, do not have just a walk in, as they are very busy and you might end up waiting for awhile. I believe Bond Street have the most stock. Go with your husband, have a look. See if you like the SA that was assigned to you. Have a chat with him/her and see if you click. Next time in a week or two, request the appointment with the same SA, and then proceed with your purchased of what you liked and then you can put your name into the WISH. You also can mention what type of bag you want. I think if you are not after the most common leathers and colors, you might get the bag on the spot. I saw that happened multiple times recently.
I met beautiful people in both Bond Street and Royal exchange boutiques. Just be nice and be interested in the brand, ask questions/ recommendations.
Good Luck!

Thank you so much for your reply. I will definitely try to get an appointment at bond Street then. Hopefully I can find someone who is good and kind and make a long term BFF for all my future purchases. But thats just a dream:)

Hi folks, I am just wondering that whether the appointment can be booked over the phone or I can straightly email my SA asking about the availability? I can imagine how busy it could be after this lockdown. I am still thinking whether it is worth a try before X’mas. Anyone is planning to visit after this lockdown?

Hi,
I emailed my SA that I want to have an appointment and my preferable times.
Thanks so much  I will email my SA. I am also worried about sometimes they can randomly be assigned with other costumers before the appointment. But I guess it will still help to make sure we can be served by them on the day you visit the store even need a wait. Can I just show the door guy my appointment or I need to queue as well? If been assigned a total new SA, I do not think I have too much confidence lol

Hi, you can let the door guy know that you have an appointment and sometimes they do let you in to wait inside. However, if the store is too busy, they might make you wait in queue.
