Hi All:

I will travel to London in May and would like to purchase a Picotin 18/22. After browsing youtube, I was totally shocked to find out that a lady was required to buy other things before SA offered her a Herbag!!!!! Come on, she was not asking for B, K, C!!! Is it normal in London stores?
How much do I need to spend until SA can offer me a bag? :confused1::confused1::confused1::confused1::confused1::confused1::confused1::confused1:

Thank you!

Don't believe everything you see on YouTube :) I just saw a walk-in buy an Herbag. Good luck!

For those interested, CP currently has the « mini exhibition » of Volynka leather. I believe it was in NBS a few months back. You can still smell the leather through little openings in the display cabinets (not very hygienic if you ask me). Got to try on the HAC and while I’m not a big fan of the actual leather (don’t shoot!!), the style and size (I think it’s a 50) are perfect for me. Lo and behold, next thing I know, I’m offered to place a SO [emoji33]I’m sooo tempted but not sure I’ll have the patience to wait for months/years...
On a different note, CP will resume their Sunday opening in the summer and extend their trading hours until 20:00 during the week.

Congrats on the SO offer - a perfect opportunity to create something a little special :graucho: Keep us posted.

I’m in London for a few days and stopped by the NBS store this afternoon. The SA who helped was very nice and helpful. I found some bag straps and a compact Bearn verso wallet in color combinations I had not been able to find in my home store so it was a productive visit for me. But it seemed like most of the bags they had were for display only. It wasn’t just the B/K/Cs. I mean even a 24/24 35cm bag in I think clemence with an alligator flap was for display only. I wasn’t looking for any type of bag so it didn’t bother me but it just seemed like the bags actually for sale were limited to a few Lindy’s, Evies, GPs, and Bolides in easy to find leathers and colors.

This is a usual thing h practice
Marketing strategies
Normal using bags as bait so customers will buy more to achieve the displayed goal

I’m used to the wide variety of bags in both regular leathers and exotics available for purchase in my home store. The only bags not on display are B/K/C. Whatever bags are on the shelves are available for purchase. No display only bags on the shelves. Which is why I look out of curiosity but don’t actually have any interest in buying bags or other big ticket items from anywhere but my home store. I enjoy looking at other Hermes stores but I never go in looking for specific things or hoping i’ll find something I’ll want. Finding the things I got today was a pleasant surprise. From what the SA in NBS today was telling me about the frequency with which they get certain types of bags, I got the impression that they didn’t have a high volume of shipments. According to him they on average get one 24/24 bag per month and sell the one pretty quickly. Maybe some of the other London Hermes stores do higher volume and get more shipments?

I don't think 'write down your preferences' is a polite way of blowing you off.
Replying to an older discussion but today realised when the SA took my your preferences (and I thought yeah right) he actually wrote them down and mentioned on my second or third visit (not that i got my bag as my specs were rather specific but saw in my account that the SA really took me seriously)

I am in London and officially joined H family today. I went to NBS. I got this baby. The actual color is light pink. I wish it’s deep color like the picture. Comparison to the Chanel medium size I was wearing. I’m looking for a way to wear it as WOC
