No you really don't need to worry too much for your listing, plus your friend doesn't have direct experience anyway.

Absolutely! Not only does it not care, I would love to see them deal with GDPR regulations in Europe should they monitor all sellers of hermes products on various platforms and comparing it to their internal customer details.
It's probably a lie or bullying to scarw people. You like it you buy it. You're done with it you sell it. Tough sh*t for them, it's called the second hand market.Good point. I wonder how Hermes is cracking down on resellers in that case... other than trying to avoid selling it to anyone who gives off red flags prior to the point of sale.
This sounds like a great idea.Selling your Herbag doesn't make you a reseller, IYKWIM
Since it was from a recent trip, any thought about taking a store credit at your local Hermes
if you are able to do so?
Not sure about international transactions but you likely have a receipt, so why not give it a go..
If you don't succeed than I would go with the above suggestions or look at the list of resellers on Tpf
great advice!I remember hearing stories like this one when I started collecting Hermes 8 years ago. That's just rubbish.
Don't tell people your business (especially the ones who shop where you shop) and you'll be fine.
What can get you banned is if your SM finds out you buy and sell B/K purely to flip for profit. That's a no-no. And THAT'S a reseller.
Also, please don't consign a bag you can sell on your own and make your money back! You will lose so much money that way. Unless you just don't feel like selling it on your own.
Wow! THAT IS NUTS! Good for them for cracking down on resellers but buyers remorse (or something of that nature) doesn't equate to purchasing with the intent to resell. Good grief. Thanks for posting the letter.
1. How did they identify it was you on FB v.s. it was you who bought the bag via H.com? Did you disclose your real name, an ID or bank details on FB?Hi all,
This is an old thread but let me for the record tell you that Hermès absolutely ban you if they think you are reselling.
I ended up being banned because I put up a bag I bought online on a private Facebook page. I was planning on returning the bag but was curious about how reselling works. Anyway I got a letter from the MD about reselling with exact details of where I had it and what it was, and that they won’t fulfil my orders anymore.
So yes, they do ban people however it seems like it’s people like us who get caught up but the resellers carry on without any consequence.
I’m not bothered much about it since I’ve got what I needed from Hermès to keep me content for now.
Thought I’ll let you all know that it’s not all rumours.

Fascinating. But for the letter and T&C, I'd find it hard to believe that H went to any lengths to troll FB for reselling.
