Selling your Herbag doesn't make you a reseller, IYKWIM
Since it was from a recent trip, any thought about taking a store credit at your local Hermes
if you are able to do so?
Not sure about international transactions but you likely have a receipt, so why not give it a go..
If you don't succeed than I would go with the above suggestions or look at the list of resellers on Tpf

Hi! So, I'm a first-time buyer of Hermes products. I've admired them for a while and on my quest to buy a Birkin I bought a handful of items within a week during my trip to France. These were all items that I loved and plan on keeping forever (bracelet, perfume, 2 cardholders). At one point, I realized I may not ever get a Birkin in France, so I bought an Herbag. THEN, the next day (last day of my trip) I got my dream bag - the Birkin! I asked the SA if I could return the Herbag because I bought it thinking I would never get the Birkin. I'm guessing this was a rookie move to ask? Anyway, she said I could have store credit but that returns were not allowed since some people overbuy just to get the B/K/C. This was never my intent as I bought the bag honestly thinking I wouldn't get the B on the last day. Anyway, I decided to keep the bag and think about it some more. Four days later, I am back in the U.S. and was just not excited about the Herbag. My husband suggested that I list it on ebay and FB marketplace just to breakeven. I did this and then 3 hours later, a friend of mine told me that this could result in me getting banned from the store! I immediately removed my 2 listings, but now I'm fearful of getting banned. In the end, I should just have taken the store credit or sucked it up and kept the bag given I did love it before getting the Birkin. Anyway, I saw the bag had 24 views on ebay in the time I had it for sale. Do you think I will get banned this quickly? I would be devastated and feel foolish for even doing such a thing. I now know not to list any items like this... Sorry - super newbie as my first other lux purchase was a Chanel classic that happened during the same trip. Does anyone know of people getting banned for a first time offense? How aggressively does Hermes track this? Feeling sad and sick as I want to continue buying many more Hermes products...

Selling a bag you don’t want doesn’t make you a Reseller. Congratulations on your new B. Get ready for the slippery slope.

Edit: We must have posted at the same time @Love Of My Life, I was thinking the same thing.

I would not worry about eBay. Hermes is not going to watch the listings for Herbags and it is best to sell it while it is brand new. I would change my ebay user name however just for security, not for Hermes.

Congratulations on your Birkin. You will probably now recieve VIP treatment when you carry it into Hermes stores. Sad to say, but that is how it is sometimes.

Thank you!! Yes, I absolutely LOVE my Birkin.

Not only does it not care, I would love to see them deal with GDPR regulations in Europe should they monitor all sellers of hermes products on various platforms and comparing it to their internal customer details.
Good point. I wonder how Hermes is cracking down on resellers in that case... other than trying to avoid selling it to anyone who gives off red flags prior to the point of sale.

True! I was eyeing an Hermes H buckle belt and a scarf... so I could also give this a try.

You’re fine to sell it! They are cracking down on resellers when they notice people at the stores trying to buy or seem suspicious etc. they don’t monitor online sales.

You’ve received a few good options for buyout or consignment. Good luck!

Bleu Nuit is great color! Enjoy her!
