I recently have bought a birkin 35 from Hermes bouqiue, I just found out that it is a Birkin stamp M.

Does it mean I bought a birkin which made in 2009 (2 years ago) in 2011?
Does the year affect the price of the Birkin at all?
Should I return it and ask for a Birkin which stamp in the current year?

Thanks for you help in advance

Hello All. I have been searching for an answer to this question and didnt find it. As I read here you can buy a Birkin/Kelly off hte shelf if it is available at any store in the world, regardless where you live...but can you make a special order bag in a store where you DON'T live and ask them to ship it to your homeplace?? Or it is too much to ask?? (the reason is that they don't do special orders where I live, and I thought I might try my luck in Europe???) TIA

Asherbirkel, I think - someone may have to confirm on this but I'm pretty sure - Paris MAY do it (you'll have to do the order in person possibly but they will ship) but I know that in several of the European countries, you can't do an SO unless you are resident in that country (Germany/Netherlands are examples of those). I think, pending nobody else giving you an answer beyond this, the hard way to go about it would be to call the various boutiques...but I'd avoid the two countries I have already noted because they do require residency in the country (I have a suspicion it may be the same in Belgium).

juian.f..thank you so much!
I can't afford to have several birkin (i wish i could) ,so i want to try to get the EXACT one I have in my mind (and the special order might help), and it seems like when you see one off the shelf, you better grab it :thinkin:
I know that in the middle east it is very difficult to get one by special order, and to get any bag from a waiting list, you have to have a residency of this country..
thank you very much again :)

I have a question that might seem a bit silly...tried to make some research, but didnt find a clear definition..
What excactly "SO" mean? Is it a special edition on birkin/kelly? Only kelly? I'm quite confused, it seems to be like a top top limited editions or similar? PLease, dear expert, put some light on the topic? TIA:flowers:

I wanted to know how I can avoid paying the sales tax, since someone has mention somewhere. Can someone help explain this to me, since I'm new to this brand. Thanks

There's no sales tax if you're having the item sent to a state that doesn't have an Hermes store. As far as i know, that's the only way to legally avoid sales tax.
