Pics of my stone with Leon's proposed side stones! What do you think? Side stones are K, VS (to match the L color of my center stone). I LOVE the proportions and the way the stones will taper into the shank. It's as perfect of a 5 stone as I could have imagined! BUT, lol, do I want a 5 stone??? I'm not sure yet!

What size ring do you wear? It looks like the 5 stones will make a pretty large ring. If your fingers can accomodate, I'd go for it, it looks beautiful! If not, he could always knock off the 2 end baguettes.

Scaled down for my hand, here is what it would look like as a solitaire and as a 5 stone. Note that the 5 stone pic is dark and horrible! My diamond really looks like the first pic :) The more I look at it, the more I am loving the 5 stone - it's so different when you shrink the pic to actual size!

Not from face-up but I'll see them from the side and when it spins. Remember, in Leon's pic they are laid out flat, but in reality they will be tipped and the baggs will blend into the shank. But I will remind him tomorrow that I wear a size 6 and will the baggs run too far to the side. I worry most about comfort if my other fingers are rubbing against the baguettes.

I did see a similar 5 stone on PS, with smaller fingers, large EC center, traps and bullets. And it didn't seem to wrap too far around. But good point and I will definitely discuss with Leon!

Looks pretty good, Erica, I hope it turns out beautiful! The baguettes will definitely show, they will probably be "lifted" a bit, I can't exactly explain it but I've seen it.

I took my stone to my jeweler last night and he was trying to convince me for a 3 stone. I like 3 stones on other ppl but I know it's not my dream ring. I hope he will set it by next month, I want it ready for August and September (vacation).

Are you going for the halo, then? I once had a 2.64ct cushion that I set in a micropave halo. It was amazing! I later upgraded to a 3.64ct cushion, which I bezel set in a 3 stone with sapphire sides. It looked smaller than my previous halo! Everyone who saw the new ring was like, "Is it smaller than the last one?"

LOL, so the 3 stone was way more understated and just didn't have the presence of the halo. If you are dreaming of a halo, nothing else will compare!

Please do share pics when it's finished!

Yes I'm going for the halo, it's my princessy dream ring.
Thankfully I have big hands (not fat, just big and bony) and I have several big sized rings so I'm ok with the BIG effect. Somehow I always end up with square or rectangular shapes, so you can imagine how excited I am about setting a round cut at last!!!

I'll make sure to post pictures!;)
