lovely setting!!! the diamond is georgeous!! I agree with the poster that said that the simpler settings would be great, this one is my favourite out of the ones you posted..

I debated between the solitaire and the 5 stone a LOT. The 2 reasons I went for the 5 stone are because Leon felt pretty strongly about it (I really trust his aesthetic sense and artistic judgment) and also because the 3.00ct asscher is a "downsize" for me, from a 3.65ct really chunky 3 stone with sapphire sides. I worried that the solitaire would be too much of a shock for someone who is used to much more bling, though I really did want to go with something simple.

I think the 5 stone will give me the finger coverage to ward off shrinkage and be less of a shock to my system, lol! I won't feel compelled to stack with a band for more coverage (I love the look but hate the feeling of wearing 2 rings on my short stubbies) but if I want to, I can stack later down the line, and I think it's a really classic and sophisticated look.

But it's been 7 weeks and it's not ready yet! GAH! I'm going batty now. Hopefully 1 more week to go. My estimate was 6 weeks, but their shop was closed for 2 weeks, so I was counting on 6-8 weeks, but secretly hoping it would be done faster since they already had my sidestones and it's a simple style that is one of his "regulars". SIGH. Patience, patience, patience...

Oh darling, they are delayed due to summer vacation or something? I'm so sorry... I'm the most impatient person alive, so I know how you feel.

I don't like the look of stacked rings in the same finger where the e ring is, although I'm guilty of doing it sometimes out of laziness to remove the ring... I agree ONE ring with a lot of coverage is very sophisticated and elegant.

btw, are you crazy??? what "stubbies" are u talking about? Your hands are very pretty. Well manicured and beautiful. Stop the nonsense.

LOL, we are our own worst critics! I spend too much time on Pricescope looking at size 3.5's and 4's. My sense of reality is a bit skewed :)

Thanks for the kind words, but I actually don't have a lot of square footage to work with on my finger, length-wise (but manicured longer nails helps to hide that!) Stacking is not too comfy for me, so I usually just carry a plain band in my purse and in the winter, when I have skinny fingers, I can slip it on to tighten things up, then wear my diamond ring alone when my fingers are more swollen. My finger can range anywhere from 5.75 in the cold to 6.25+ in the heat, so I usually get a 6 and stack if needed.

I'm utterly impatient too. I nearly crawled out of my skin waiting to hear something last week and feel like I can't make it another day! I've made it this far...

UPDATE!

My ring is ready this week and I will have it on Saturday! It was delayed because Leon's shop closed for 2 weeks and when they returned, his cutter was closed for vacation! The cutter was cutting the baguettes down into little bullets, so between the two vacations I lost a few weeks. So it took a total of 9 weeks instead of 6. I started getting really antsy at the 7 week mark - poor Leon!

I have to say that he couldn't be sweeter or kinder. He was so apologetic about the added delay. Seriously, every time I call, he immediately knows me just by name, knows exactly where my ring is in the process, etc. He's been wonderful!

So Saturday's the big day - ACK! I've spent the entire week moisturizing, shaping my nails, will do a mani tomorrow, as a little homecoming gift to my new ring. I'm sick. I know.

I love this one,the simplicity showcases the center stone, and the shoulder stones are beautifully compilmentary to the whole appearance, they kind of make a beautiful narrowing continuation down onto the shank,as opposed to one large stone just 'sat' on a shank.Thats just imho though!

ETA....I just saw your post above! You must be so excited!
