NiceHubby, I've been lurking in your thread just waiting to hear your story unravel into a successful journey!!

In a "wishful" thinking/hoping fantasy, I "innocently" asked my DH: "Honey, is this you?" and showed him your original post. Sadly, you aren't my DH :( but you definitely are to a very lucky wife.

I wish you all the best of luck and can't wait for tomorrow's episode on TPF presents: A Birkin for NiceHubby's Wife.

I'll keep my 2 cents re: needasugardaddy's comments to myself, but I will say I agree with her observation, but it's applicable to only 5% of those that have commented on this thread. 95% of those responding to NiceHubby have been simply wonderful and encouraging . . . and like me, they are waiting in anticipation to see how this Soap Opera concludes. However, it is the tone of that 5% that usually holds me back from expressing my thoughts/opinions.

I am late to this thread, but I wish you the best of luck, NiceHubby. Sometimes it's just a matter of pure luck and being in the store at the right time - that's how I got my first Birkin.

You're such a sweet husband and I'm so happy for Mrs. PP, she must be over the moon with her stunning collection. If I had so many beautiful bags, everyday would be a challenge for me which one to wear :p.
If you have time in the future, please share some pics of her new bags with us, I always enjoy them :heart:.
Congratulations on the Kelly boots btw, I'm sure they look fabulous on Mrs. PP :yes:.

I made my umpteenth trip to BH today, funny but all the SA's in the store seem to know me now. I spoke to Michael and told him that tomorrow is my last day. My plan is to get her a wallet (which she needs but is there nothing more boring than a present that you need?) and put a gift card in it for the amount of the Birkin. I was just going to do it this afternoon but he said that maybe I should come in tomorrow, it wasn't busy so...

Hopefully that is a good omen. Fingers crossed.

NiceHubby/SuperNiceHubby, your wife will be sooo touching when she hears your long journey to get a birkin on her 40th B'day! It's not an easy task (i'm pretty sure buying a porsche is much easier than buying a birkin, right)...even though you have enough/more than enough money to buy a birkin. I'm hoping you will get it today *finger-crossed*, if not, try to come back on Saturday around 11-12 noon, who knows you'll see a birkin (if you don't mind the colors) ;).
