Help a clueless husband navigate getting a Birkin!

I too crossed my fingers for you - what a journey to take to get a $10,000 bag!

A wallet, or others would be absolutely fine. Perhaps it is what is meant to be, don't mean to discourage you, I am a woman, yes, we can get absolutely carried away on something like a really sought after bag, but once the emotion / excitement has elasped AND particularly when there is a new target - there really is no shortage of that, trust me, limited edition, special cut, colour, leather... etc
Your $10,000 can be spent on many wonderful things - jewelleries, a beautiful diamond ring -a symbol of love and your lasting love for her, she will be in tears. If not, I would for her and you! :hugs:
As said, not mean to put you off, just to remind you there are plenty of serious options out there, you and I are working professionals, understand that money is earned in a hard way, should be spent wisely - not full of frustration.

Any update yet?
Sending a lot of good H. vibes your way Nicehubby :flowers:!
And Happy Birthday to your wife, even if you don't have a Birkin I think she really appreciates all the things you do for her.
Hope the both of you will have a fantastic day .

what a nice nicehubby you are!!!
wish my hubby is as nicehubby as you. :p

come on, tpfers in the west coast of america.
can't anyone help him?

hope your hard work will be rewarded at the end of the story.;)

Well the story goes on *sigh*. For today it's a wallet, I am going to tell her that the wallet is merely stuffing for a Birkin to come at a later date. Hopefully that will be good enough. I can't believe with all the effort I put in I couldn't get one in time. I won't pretend that I'm not dissapointed, and a bit frustrated with H but that's how it goes. It drives me nuts that they have a few special bags in the back and just say they don't (my Mom would call that bad manners). I'll keep everyone posted and hopefully that f'ing Birkin (not just a handbag of course) will show up sooner rather than later. Thanks to all my fans out there, you've made this journey much more pleasurable. Keep the good vibes coming.

Oh, and the most important part of this whole exercise -- Happy Birthday Liz!

I don't know any woman who's face wouldn't light up at the sight of an orange box on her birthday, so I know your wife will be ecstatic over her gift! Maybe take your wife by the H store this weekend to show your SA how much she likes her wallet, peruse the store, casually mention her dream Birkin again...

Yes, she will love the wallet and that Birkin will come along. More important than that, she has a great husband who tried like crazy to get something that you knew she wanted. You are both blessed! Happy Birthday indeed.

Of course, you still have to let us know when you do get the Birkin!

Have to agree with that . My husband will go to great lengths to get me what I want, but he won't play the H games to get me a Birkin. It's got to be sitting on the shelf or brought out when he asks (only once), or he won't get it.

Oh, what a bummer! I was getting the champagne ready for u!

In any case, I would already be over the moon if my DH were willing to transfer cold hard cash in the equivalent of a Birkin to my account and would not be disappointed if the bag didn't show up on the actual B-day. I am sure the bag will find its rightful owner soon.
NiceHubby, you did well & you are a gem!
