Jenni that sounds so rough! I'm sorry, hun! Big hugs to you. Thanks for sweet comments on little Chlöe. Hard to believe she will be 3 in a month. Crazy town. We are doing well in Portland. Loving it here. I have a lot of things in the works and keep having small setbacks. My job always feels like a ticking time bomb, and I'm trying to line up some other streams of income for when it ends. Though my idea for income stream relies on me owning a house and installing a kiln. (Long story). Also, my car broke in an irreparable way, so buying a new Honda CRV this week or next. Things feel complicated all the time, but I am loving life. Also starting trying to have another baby solo this summer, so that is definitely something keeping me preoccupied. :p

Here's a funny story, loves.

So a big group of my friends from CA, OR, WA, and BC, Canada have been camping by the Umpqua river in Oregon Memorial day weekend for 17 years. I went the first 8 years and the past 3. It's super fun, and there are about 200 people that go.

We always have some kind of fancy party, and we bring a sound system and everyone gets a chance to DJ every other year. This year we had a fancy French breakfast party, with Crepes, fancy Champagne, Mimosa bar, Espresso bar, and French House music. My contribution was a bottle of Domaine de Canton, fancy French Ginger Liqueur to add to the champagne.

Chlöe and I stay in a little cabin near where the camping is, (as it rains so much every year, and the sound system is on most of the night Fri and Sat nites). Sat morning, I was explaining to her that we were going to have yummy drinks and yummy crepes for breakfast and it would be a super fun fancy party. I talked it up big time. We got out there to the camping area and got in line for crepes and she was so excited, until we got up to the table which had a huge spread of options to put in the crepes. A friend was making them to order.

Chlöe looked at me with big sad eyes, and said, "Mama, you said there were going to be GRAPES!"

I made it up to her with a strawberry/nutella crepe, though, haha.

Stormy, please tell Mr Stormy that they did indeed arrive safely with the cuffs! :flowers: and thank him! I can't remember if we posted pics of them or just the cuffs way back when. It's been so long... I've just been in occasional contact with Lu, mostly through FB, and I think she's doing well. Busy with work and Elevation Polish, for sure!

I'm pretty much back to where I was before the accident, thanks everyone! It was rough for awhile... My car was totaled. Full body MRIs, PT, facet joint injections (ask me how much I wanted to punch the doc who did those). Haven't replaced the car yet; still waiting on insurance to make up their minds. It was the other driver's fault, but her insurance said she wasn't covered at the time :wtf: so it's all on mine. But I'm back to hiking, with just the normal back/leg pain. In another month, I'll be back in to see if my new orthopedic guy suggests surgery. The MRIs revealed a lot of arthritis and bone spurs around the previously injured discs :(

It's so nice to "see" everyone! My skillz are rusty, and real camera is in need of some TLC, but I've got iPhone pics to post of my sample Botkier....

And I'm frantically trying to find shoes for our NYC trip!

Doing ok, it's a challenging time. Started my own webshop and both of my babies are now in college. (I can't be that old! I am that old!!)
Just getting over a horrible flu so I haven't been here much the past couple of weeks, but I'm feeling better now.

Your Chloe is just so adorable, thank you for sharing her with us! And many, many happy baby vibes to you! That is so exciting!

Faf, it's great to hear from you! I miss seeing all your non-HH finds. You have such exquisite taste! Did you ever get an etsy shop going?

After six Zappos VIP shipments, I finally found my "dressy" (hah... Carrie Bradshaw would be horrified) shoes for NYC. Eric Michael platform cork t-straps in metallic pewter. And I'm set for bags obviously. Need a few dressy shirts to knock the desert dust off my jeans... Thank goodness we've joined the rest of civilization and now have a TJ Maxx.

I was going through my jewelry to decide what to take and found such lovely things that HHHotties have RAOKed me over the years. :love:
