Such wonderful pics of Chloe, Mish! And that sounds like my kind of camping lol!
Faf, it's great to hear from you! I miss seeing all your non-HH finds. You have such exquisite taste! Did you ever get an etsy shop going?

After six Zappos VIP shipments, I finally found my "dressy" (hah... Carrie Bradshaw would be horrified) shoes for NYC. Eric Michael platform cork t-straps in metallic pewter. And I'm set for bags obviously. Need a few dressy shirts to knock the desert dust off my jeans... Thank goodness we've joined the rest of civilization and now have a TJ Maxx.

I was going through my jewelry to decide what to take and found such lovely things that HHHotties have RAOKed me over the years.

Thanks Jenni! And yes, we "camp" in more of a "glamping" way. It's basically what we call a "geriatric rave", LOL.

I love that you have so much awesome jewelry from RAOKs! I tried to look up your shoes, and am not sure I found them, but I think I did, and I really like them! They look comfy, but still stylish? Glad you have TJ Maxx, I loved it when I had time to go!

And best of luck with a baby sister or brother for Chloe, Mish! It seems like only yesterday we were putting together your "shower in a box"!!

Yes! It does seem like yesterday, not 3 years ago!! Crazy, right? I'd love a boy or a girl, and hope that Chlöe will not freak out if she gets a brother not a sister. Not that there is any guarantee of a baby at all, I just have my fingers crossed.

Did someone say box? :graucho: Hello friends :flowers:

Cho!!!!

I can't possibly catch up but I'm sorry to hear about your accident Jenn! Are you coming to NYC with the hubs? I'm an hour away.....wonder if we can set something up!!!
Chloe is just amazing, Mishka
Hugs to everyone!!!

Thank you, Cho! Sammie is too! I love seeing her pics! What a little beauty!!!

It is sooo great to hear from all the hotties. Major hugs to all....

Misha -Chloe is gorgeous! I am sending lots of baby vibes your way....Jenni - glad you found shoes. My colleague is shopping in NYC as we speak. She texted me about some MZ Wallace finds. BUT - she is there in this incredible rain from a tropical storm.

Cho - hope things have been going well. How is our samster?????

Thank you, Sally!

She's 2 going on twenty! She's the friendliest yet most fierce toddler ever!!
Thanks for asking!

Hee hee, yes, I am familiar with that. I wish we could get the girls together! Actually I wish we could have another HHHottie meetup. It kills me that I missed the Chicago meeting. I can't believe I let that slip through my fingers.

Doing ok, it's a challenging time. Started my own webshop and both of my babies are now in college. (I can't be that old! I am that old!!)
Just getting over a horrible flu so I haven't been here much the past couple of weeks, but I'm feeling better now.

Your Chloe is just so adorable, thank you for sharing her with us! And many, many happy baby vibes to you! That is so exciting!

Thank you so much Faf! I need to check out your webshop. I'm finally starting to feel like I occasionally have a minute. I can't believe your kiddos are both in college! I can't imagine. Honestly. You are not old, though! Sorry you have had the flu! That is the worst! How is your shop going? What's the most challenging part of it, and what is the most fun? I have been off again on again considering opening a kids clothing boutique online... But mostly am afraid to...

My shop's going ok, Mish, especially for just starting out (and I started out very low-key). I hear that June and July are the slowest months of the year for buying clothes and so it's going to be a tough couple of months...

No surprise, the financial part is by far the most challenging. I literally put my last savings into doing this, (kind of a now-or-never situation), but it's something I've wanted to do for years. Pretty terrifying, though. I love the work itself! Researching and contacting small, independent designers is my favorite thing. I've done one collaboration with a designer (a set of silk scarves) that was a lot of fun and I would love to do more of those. Learning product photography, marketing, website setup, etc etc, has also been great and I'm enjoying all of it. I'm building relationships with some of the designers and that's very satisfying—there are so many people making beautiful things! I've found a woman in the Netherlands named Ellen Truijen who makes a line of bags I sell in the shop. I really, really like her and her approach to her work. She's a lot of fun, too.

I'm spending most of my time marketing these days. But I've been shooting a "Look Book" for the shop with a friend of mine who's done some modeling. I don't know how professional it will look, but we're having fun and I'm learning a whole new set of skills! (I really, really, need to get better fast at shooting out of doors. :p)

OMG sammie and chloe would look so adorable in a photo together.

I've essentially been an empty-nester for the last 1.5 - 2 years. I miss the kids like crazy when they're not here....but am starting to enjoy my much more peaceful evenings and weekends.

Thanks gals :)
Mish, I usually braid while she's eating breakfast. I can get a braid in but combing that curly coif is usually a screaming match! Yet she lets my mom comb it no problem.
I'd love to see the two lil hotties in action together. Too bad we are on opposite sides of the country!
Speaking of hotties- Sal, how's your beautiful baby boy doing?

Mish, here are the shoes, and yes, unbelievably comfy!!

CHO-HHHOTNESS!! Yes, we'll be in the city basically July 1-7, in a flat in SoHo. Would LOVE to see you!! That Friday evening we've got Yankees tix but so far no other evenings booked. And Sammie is unbelievably adorable! Just like with Chloe, you can totally see her personality :) You've got a handful there, hon.

Fafnir - I looked at your site! I love it! Those scarves are gorgeous! You are such an inspiration for following a dream. Have you done any photography classes? I took a couple really short ones, but they seemed to help a lot. Let me know if you want to meet up sometime and I can show you what I learned!

Aw, I bet you miss them to pieces. But I could see how the peaceful evenings and weekends would be nice.

Thanks gals :)

Chlöe screams too! I got a comb and told her it's a magic comb that doesn't hurt if she stands close to the sink and lets me get her hair wet. That the water on the comb magically makes it not pull. It seems to work at least a little. I wish we weren't so far away! And yes, I agree, Sally we need an update!

Jealous of a Hottie meetup! I love those shoes!

nice shoes Jenni!

I ended up with these for my summer shoes: http://www.zappos.com/dansko-thea

I just did the worst job of packing for my mini trip. Hoping the thunderstorms around DC aren't too bad tomorrow. The flight doesn't land til 10 so I assume the worst will be over by then.

Those are nice too, MB. Have fun in DC! Hope the weather is treating you ok.

Somebuddy please pass the oxygen mask. I found out I'm being laid off Aug 31st! I guess it's time to sign up for Biology class and get the ball rolling on being a lactation consultant and also buy my kiln and get cracking on my hand/feet/paw print business?

Should I freak out?

Oh HHHell, Mish! You sort of saw it coming, right? Do you think two and a half months is enough? Do you need to focus on one or the other? They both sound like fantastic ideas.... Can you rent a kiln as a stop-gap? What is the LC training like? I think you'd be great at that...
