That's hilarious to hear - me and my sisters all love the foods that our mom ate when she was preggers with us. Fruit and especially blueberries for me, spicy for the middle child, and mcdonald's with the youngest. All our favorite foods now, lol.

Mishka - Chloe is so precious! I love the photo with your mom. :) And that tree is amazing! I haven't even done my 4 footer yet. You're so close by to me, Chatt is just a few hours up the road from us. My friends grew up there, I wonder if it's close by you! They say that the Chatt aquarium is the best in the world.

i'm the same way with preggo cravings. my mom craved mangos when she was pregnant with me and i love mangos. especially if it's in a lassi.

Cho, you enjoy those potatoes! I've been finishing off the ones left over from T-Day. The "potatoe" button on my microwave is my kitch BFF now. Sooooo easy to get a baked potatoe w minimal work!

FIVE DAYS until my awesome MIL arrives! I can't wait! I have soooo many holiday plans for us! And a bunch of Christmas shopping to do!

What are the hotties getting their mamas/MILs? I need major inspiration, since it'll be her first here!

enga, what about a portrait with the family (and maybe the kiddos individually)? as for 'things' ... does she collect anything? have a style icon? i think jewelery in her style or fave gem is always thoughtful.

ETA: cho, that's an awesome shot!!!

Renovation is almosssssst done. Lots of last minute cosmetic stuff.. oh and waiting for the kitchen to arrive.. :noggin: But moving day is on Thursday!! Ready or not, here we come!

Mishkaleh..there are times I miss my "babies" when they were truly babies chronologically.

My kids looooooove spicey food...harissa, s'chug (Yemenite firepower), all kinds of hot sauce, West Indian and Mexican and Indian and on and on..only thing I could stomach when preggers..that and ice cubes, ice cold water with lemon, preserved or candied ginger. Balanced diet, no?

My Pica (wood and ice..better than my friends' dirt, clay, paint, erasers) was another story..and MB..thanx for your post about your friend's research.

Four huge sheets of potato kugels are about to be loaded into a 400 degree oven. Arggggh..fried, baked, mashed, hashbrowned you name it, I love potatoes but I only eat an Idaho baked in an old fashioned potato baker (once a week at most) with Fage or Chiobani 0% fat yogurt and chives.

Otherwise I'd not only have carb face but I'd also have carb a$$ (close cousin of lard a$$...which just triggered a memory of SNL's 1970's satirical over the top "commericial" for Larda$$ jeans..a total poke at the then ubiquitous ones for Jordache Jeans..)

Once again, a lot to catch up on....mishka, I love the pictures you posted esp (of course) the one of grandmama and grandbabe snuggling. What a wonderful tree and an even more wonderful view, how does anything get done? I'd be in front of those windows all day.

carlotta, the iPad sounds like a winner for little Jace, what interesting uses it can be put to....Apple deserves to be applauded for the iPad idea don't they ... a bit cheaper and it'd be perfect!

Thanks for the pic Gingey.. now I'm kinda scurred... MRS Potato Head kinda has the same shnazole as my hubby!! :laugh:

I finally feel the lil one in there, she kicks away mostly after I eat.. I guess that's her way for thanking me for the good food! :D She likes to kick while I'm sleeping (or trying), it gets me through my bouts of insomnia caused by the anxiety I have from all the new changes coming! But she doesn't kick hard enough for anyone else to feel yet. Or maybe she does and there's too much blubber on my belly... Wahhhhhhh..... :laugh:
