I think it's because most of us here buy from reebonz and we never received fakes as was claimed here. In a sense, saying a company is a scam or scammer is a BIG claim bordering to slander. Just like buying from secondary market, we ******************, have proof we bought from the seller before we declare we got scammed. So, if there is proof that the said bag was really purchased from reebonz, that should be made clear here through authentication and not some 'intuition' from owning bal bags. I mean, we're not even allowed to say our opinions here about bag authenticity unless we meet certain posting requirements so is't saying their bags are fake based on opinions the same? I think the point is it is better to be objective about this since this is affecting the community wanting to buy from reebonz. I know it's tough competition for boutiques if indeed the products are genuine and you can buy them for less. So far, I've on,y had good experience from my purchases and if you're saying I'm just lucky then I've saved a lot to buy one more bag for being so. :D

Exactly, well said - if you read the post I was initially commenting on, I responded to someone who was also questioning such claims.

I did not challenge that she bought from reebonz, but rather that she can prove that her bag from reebonz is a fake. These are big unfounded claims without some type of proof. You're making people who did buy from reebonz doubt their bags authenticity.

There are a lot of nasty comments - even one where someone who mentioned how they are happy with their purchase only to have someone tell them that have been fooled because they do not know what a real bal bag is like. Such a mean thing to say!

I think you are the one that is being dramatic and confrontational.
They were just stating that please be careful buying from reebonz for the fact that they have unpleasant encounter buying from reebonz.
For savings couple hundreds bucks I guess I would also prefer buying from boutique. You get the experience and guarantee it will be Authentic, and you get receipt from the store.

Actually Richmond 3121, if you read the whole thread - there are plenty of not so nice comment. Nothing along the lines of "please be careful"...

I was commenting on a comment asking for proof of why they thought their handbags were fake. Only to get a rather abrasive response... That did not even response to the initial comment!

In regards to that, I do think people who buy from reebonz need to go and authenticate their bags. We definitely do not want people to doubt their bag authenticity. And I believe you do not want people who save their hard earn dollars spend on fake stuff.

So what I am saying is do your due diligence.

I was told that Reebonz mixes fake with authentic Bal bags ,there's no way I can prove that. So What you got from them might be authentic ones, but I definitely got a fake one.
I didn't want to influence others , actually I was kinda hesitating as to whether or not I should respond to this post coz it would not do me any good. But I just did it coz I was still a little pissed at Reebonz.

If this is indeed true, all the more that these fake bags must be posted with authentication. It will help create awareness to the community here, which is the purpose of forums. And, yes, I do authenticate my bags from reebonz so I can be rest assured they are all authentic. But posts such as this brings doubt to the company and even satisfied buyers are made to question their purchases. I wonder if other small luxury bag sellers get this same attention? There are others in SG alone such as reluzzo and nime shop. Overseas I also tried my theresa, but how come I don't see similar criticisms such as this? Could it be because reebonz is so successful and has inventory that makes people dubious (or envious) of their sources?

I didn't need authentication of my Bal bag coz I could tell authentic ones from fake ones by simply comparing it to my other Bal bags that I purchased in the boutique. That's why I'd returned it already. I don't know how to show you the differences of the soft leather of authentic ones between the stiff leather of the fake one, as well as the smell of the leather by posting photos, you have to touch the leather and smell it to feel the differences.
I only speak for myself, my experience only. I don't have any problem with the authenticity claim of your purchases.

Do not buy from Reebonz!! It is an absolutely irresponsible company and non consumer friendly at all. To start with, why would anyone buy expensive luxury items that you have no right to inspect but you cannot get any refunds or exchange??! The risk is 100% on us as consumers!! It's like putting your money on a bet! If you get lucky you get perfect authentic stuffs but if you don't, Reebonz do not want to bear any risks at all! Believe me, their so called concierge customer service is extremely difficult and rude to handle!
In my recent order, I want to pay my order in monthly instalment but I did not put down the right credit card that can be used on their instalment list, instead I used another visa card but indicating in 'comments/remarks' that 'I'd like to pay by monthly instalment'. I talked to and e-mail their customer service, they insist they cannot change to monthly instalment, even though I told them I can provide my other credit card on their monthly instalment list! They sent the item straight away ignoring my request and are going to charge me the lump sum amount in one go!! They don't care to verify your order to make sure you have the right input and then request being met! They just rip your money and go! And 'concierge' sound very rude on the phone!
Now the next worry I have in mind is if the item is authentic or not! Not cool shopping experience at all.
So ladies if you have that beautiful luxury item in mind, I advice just save that little extra money to buy from a proper shop! Inspect it well before purchase. Instead of betting your money away with Reebonz just for the sake of saving a bit more: you might end up losing even more!

There are several inconsistencies here from my buying experience in three years now. First, the claim that they don't allow for inspection and exchange/return. I've returned bags I'm not happy without problems. They will accept the return/exchange especially if item is not as described. But I do agree that they tend to refund through store credits rather than cash. It's not a problem for me as I buy often but it would be nice if they can also refund via original payment method if within a certain frame of time.

Second, the credit card payment deducted without consent. This is quite impossible bec the credit details are not asked when placing order on line but only through phone confirmation. You simply indicate the type of card in the order form but no details are asked. In short, it's very easy to not give the info to them and cancel the order this way actually. They can't charge unless you give your details via phone. I often change my card or cancel the order when they call to get my credit card details and those times were hassle-free (best way to change mind). Also, I noticed if you choose installment by credit card you are not able to checkout unless you choose from the available choices in the system. You can only pay in full through credit card via paypal.

Can't comment on the rest, but in Australia, I paid online via credit card (no need for phone confirmation). Not sure though if that has changed, I haven't bought anything from them for almost 2 years.

Wow really, you can tell a fake just by comparing it to a real one? I am fairly new to Bal but I have 2 authentic Bals to compare any fakes to- and in some cases I *absolutely cannot tell* which are fake. I know the actual authenticators have a list of specifics they can compare to but for just a person off the street who might own a few authentic Bals, it is getting *very difficult* to tell against some of the better fakes.

+1...My 2009 and 2011 leathers feel very different from my older bags but they're all authentic. With each hide being individual I'm not sure how you can say definitely that one's a fake by comparing it to another by the feel of the leather. IMHO one shouldn't post a negative review of any seller unless one has proof that the item in question is absolutely not as listed, and that requires authentication.

I'll be frank and say that a few of the comments here are very unfair and one-sided. I'm honestly starting to wonder if these are just trolls trying to tarnish the reputation of Reebonz by posting such slanderous comments. :smash:

First of all, do your research. Reebonz is Singapore-based company. Anyone who's lived or been in Singapore long enough will realise how strict the rules on counterfeit goods here are. These rules apply to everything from luxury goods to food to tobacco products. Unlike some Asian countries, the Singapore government works very hard to ensure the trade for counterfeit goods does not exist in the country. Anyone caught trying to import fake goods for trading will be charged with a hefty fine and/or imprisonment, depending on how serious the offence is.

Why on earth would Reebonz jeopardise their entire business by selling fake bags? Are you serious? Furthermore, all these comments saying how Reebonz are selling fake goods do not come with pictures for proof / evidence etc - just words. Basically, empty accusations. Not only that, a lot of these users are only signing up to TPF just to post these comments! Don't be daft, we know what you are trying to do.

I am a veteran designer bag addict. At the risk of sounding smug and up-my-arse, I can tell the difference between a fake and a real bag just by looking or touching. If you are wondering why I am sounding so pissy, it is because I am very, very annoyed after reading some of these comments. I have bought bags from Reebonz and so far, I have been very pleased with their overall service. And yes, the bags I bought from them ARE a hundred percent authentic. I'd never deal with fake bags.

Though I can't comment on the service of the other foreign Reebonz franchises, I can only imagine that the company would want to uphold their rep by ensuring their service is impeccable wherever they're running their business in.

Please, if you have nothing nice to say, don't say anything at all.

Agree. I noticed these people have only 1 to 9 posts and just on this thread. Very suspicious. Maybe they are competitors of reebonz or those SAs who tell shoppers never to buy from reebonz (as maybe because they are losing business; that's the problem of the brand and their business tactic, not theirs!).

Anyway, I think most of those who has complaints about customer service are from Australia. Maybe there's something wrong there and reebonz should do their own investigations as their reputation, as you said, is being tarnished.

I am from Australia and I have made many purchases from reebonz and all my bags are authentic. I never doubt the authenticity of their items. They have a massive boutique in CBD Sydney. If they were selling fakes, they would have been out of business a long time ago.
