Can coach.com ban people from shopping on their website? I don't return much but did make a store return yesterday. Today I tried to check-out twice on 2 different computers, and it wouldn't take me to the check-out screen. It kept returning to the home screen. Now I am getting paranoid!

I don't think so.....I HAVE BEEN banned by Coach (for almost a year now) and they keep sending me PCEs which I've been consistently using for purchases on the Coach.com website since last Fall (AFTER my banning) .I really think that they have many separate customer info. /purchase info. databases that are not at all inter-connected....Otherwise, it would make no sense for them to keep sending me PCEs...
As the other poster mentioned, I think it's just hiccups on their website.

Thanks for the replies, CA & sweetie! Glad to hear you are still able to shop online! I never was able to check-out using Firefox, but finally got thru on Internet Explorer.

oki so im bumping this thread on account of i saw another person get the so called scarlet letter at fp today!!!
It was odd bc this time me and the other customer were adoring the colorful look of the store due to the new legacy floor set (by the way is beautiful!!) anyway i went to see the tanner totte in person bc i ordered it from jax a few days ago and obviously couldnt wait to see it so i thought id go look anyway the customer was looking at the tanner as well in cobalt while i was admiring the sunflower she asked myopinon and i explained tht i jus ordered it eventually i began talking to one of the SA as the customer was checking out with the cobalt candace and she was SERVED with the letter

The SA basically said "maam we can no longer let you purchase any coach items" she was completly speechless the woman exclaimed "why not ??, i dont understand" and the SA jus gav her the letter and said "this is explains it" she stood there reading it and said "so i can still purchase from dept stores?" the SA said "I dont know maam" she left and said "well macys has the same display so i guess i'll just it from there"

sorry if this is really long bt im jus wondering why would coach loose customers to dept stores like this it just doesnt make sense?

What? How embarrassing for that lady. That is just crazy. If that happened to me, I would never buy from Coach again.

I hate these letters stories! Makes me so paranoid about returning bags! But sometimes no matter how much you check a bag out in the store it just may not work for you. Or maybe that's just me. Not to mention ordering without being able to see it first. If I ever get the letter I would never buy from them again and I would spread the word as much as I could.

I totally agree!!! I wouldn't even carry a Coach bag if I was given one of these horrible letters. I wouldn't want to advertise their merchandise if I were treated in such a manner that is not only embarrassing but also insulting.

But...we have no idea why the customer got the letter.

I don't know for certain but I was under the impression serial return-ers got a "you can't return unless" letter. Perhaps this lady was a "buy at FP, hold and exchange at outlet price" person? In the first case, if it were my business I wouldn't want to lose a "top dollar" customer if she wasn't costing me anything but my time. In the second case - I'd lose that customer like a bad habit. :roflmfao::roflmfao::roflmfao:

If she was a reseller oh well - but it doesn't sound like it from what little we know.

Who knows...
