Funny- I was just looking on the Norstrom and Saks website for any bags and there were zero bags... only shoes and such. Wonder if something is going on

I must say you're very loyal to still want to look at Disney characters.

Please be very careful about buying from any dealers on Insta, FB etc.

Never mind the website, many Gucci's employees are still working remotely and may still have the Disney and it's likely stock has not already been redistributed. Contact your SA/SM via store numbers and let them know what you're looking for via code and/or description.

Gucci has its own outlets and has a deal with TRR. YOOX often buys from 3rd party retailers.

For those that are more versed on Gucci... is there one outlet that gets better stock than another? I called many times but no one ever picks up the phone.

Do you think the items will be the same at the outlet or “made for” the outlet?

Any idea about what the discount would be when they do show up?

Regular items that end up at the outlet are usually 30% off.

yes. Gucci sells a mix of items that come from their main stores (previous seasons) and items made specifically for outlets.

I have not found their quality to be worse from outlets. I bought a bag once because I liked the look of it. I had no issues with it and I was not careful with it. I had always felt the stuff made specifically for Gucci outlets are cheaper (but in general they're still expensive IMO) because they're more simplistic in design, so less labor and effort.

But I usually shop outlets for items from previous seasons.

I asking mainly because i recently became really invested in the Outlets subjects and tried to investigate alittle as to why these items so cheaper. Yes, some are past season but why make certain items for outlets only and i found this video:



And this pretty much made me email Gucci, in response to my questions they said,
“The quality in items from our direct Gucci stores and Gucci Outlets are just the same. There is no difference in the make of the items or no irregularities. Our outlet items are simply items from our previous seasons. While our direct stores and online carry our most popular and/or current season items , our outlets usually carry items that are from 2 years ago or more depending on the popularity of the item.”

But i just felt there was something they arent mentioning, so i wanted to post this thread and ask the community. :)

I didn’t watch the video you posted but they often use left over materials to make outlet pieces.

I disagree with many of the points this person made in the video. For instance, she claims that the GG woven canvas (which they now call Original GG Canvas) is an outlet material while full price stores have Gucci Supreme coated canvas, although this is simply untrue. Gucci has used the woven canvas for years and years, and appears in some full priced styles still. Just check some of their older Sukey styles. In fact, several of their current men's items feature this woven canvas.

The GG Supreme coated canvas is not comparable, as she is comparing a tapestry-like textile with PVC.

She claimed that the grained leather of the Soho Disco is higher quality than the trim on her outlet bag, which she claims uses cheaper leather found on outlet pieces. Also not true. Gucci uses different leathers on different bags, depending on the style. Some bags have a stiff leather that looks like a buffalo grain is pressed into it, while others use a softer larger-grain leather, at both the outlet and in full-price boutiques. There are several other leathers that Gucci uses too.

It actually annoys me that so many YouTubers spread misinformation based on their very limited knowledge of the brand. They also misinform people about markers for authenticity, causing consumers to doubt their purchase of authentic pre-loved bags and creating nightmares for the customers and the legitimate sellers.

I agree.
I was conflicted on some of the statements she made on the hardware too @8:08 exactly, but ive seen that exact GG style hardware on Gucci’s website for example on men’s belts.

Gucci's made-for-outlet items are not the same quality as their main line products IMO.

When you look at the items in person you can tell that corners have been cut on things like the way they're sewn and the lining of bags in order to save money. Gucci's leather is great whether it is outlet-only or main line, so you would still be getting quality, just not as much as you would if you were to buy a main line, full price item (which is to be expected with any product made and marketed at a lower price).
