Gucci's made-for-outlet items are not the same quality as their main line products IMO.

When you look at the items in person you can tell that corners have been cut on things like the way they're sewn and the lining of bags in order to save money. Gucci's leather is great whether it is outlet-only or main line, so you would still be getting quality, just not as much as you would if you were to buy a main line, full price item (which is to be expected with any product made and marketed at a lower price).
I don’t agree. Maybe it depends on the bags? I’ve had outlet purchases that have been used to death with no issues and regular purchases from store that wore terribly. I’ve also had regular purchases from store that didn’t wear terribly but I’ve never had any issues with made for outlet purchases.

I have had only positive experience with the Gucci Outlets. I have many full price Gucci boutique bags that I purchased for 30% off at the outlet and when they hold holiday sales events like they did this past summer, I got another tote that was still full price at Saks and Bloomingdales. I love the outlets bec I love a bargain on a designer handbag! My Gucci Blooms Collection came from the outlets and most recently purchased a Marmont handbag and a red Flora tote at a discount price. Here is a pic of my last purchase at the outlet. This tote was still selling at Saks and Bloomingdales for 1,980.00 plus tax. I got this tote for 600.00 less and I love it!

In my experience the specific MFO items are constructed differently like @jasmynh1 states. The hardware feels less substantial and the lining of the bag I am familiar with is different (canvas) to a boutique bag (suede like). This is not to say that a MFO bag is terrible quality, the oppsosite really. I think they’re great quality for the price paid; but it’s not the same as spending £1500+ compared to something along the £800 mark. I think you could have the misfortune of having a bag with quality issues regardless of the price paid for an item as is rampant with many brands on this forum.

Yes absolutely, it differs from bag to bag, just like with any brand - outlet or not. I have outlet pieces that have worn amazingly, then items from the normal stores that have worn badly.

Would you say that Gucci Outlets sell certain items that are made for their outlets only?
Is the quality worse in the outlets?
What are your findings?
Feel free to also share photos for examples
I bought what had to be last tian Boston bag at a Gucci outlet last year. They do have a whole line of items in Guccisima leather that looked simple but very well made that were reasonably priced as compared to the boutique. However, I never saw those items at the boutique either. I’ve also bought some flats that I do not recall aeeing at the boutique. All in all is a great idea to shop at Gucci outlets.

Wow! Very informative!
Great find too!
Yes, i do also recall seeing some items that were also similar and also some items that ive never seen at the boutique as well, which made me believe that some items are just made for the outlets.
Thank you again!

Wow, stunning bag! Not usually into prints, but Gucci does them wonderfully.

Great bag! Love Gucci prints!

I have purchased at both the outlet and Saks, Nordstrom etc. and I don't think the quality is any different. However, I do think the styles are definitely a bit older or different. There is nothing wrong with that since I find Gucci to be timeless. Every now and then I see items that are in the high end stores at the outlet obviously priced for a lesser amount. Most of my purchases are from the shoe selection- they have the greatest selection on shoes at the outlet near my home! Ex. I have purchased a few pairs of the Princetowns in different prints which were from a season or two ago, but absolutely love them and would do it again in a heartbeat! I also have a few really cute purses from the outlet as well which I love too! Don't let the "outlet" store name fool you, it opens up more variety to you as the consumer as well as the brand.

I disagree with many of the points this person made in the video. For instance, she claims that the GG woven canvas (which they now call Original GG Canvas) is an outlet material while full price stores have Gucci Supreme coated canvas, although this is simply untrue. Gucci has used the woven canvas for years and years, and appears in some full priced styles still. Just check some of their older Sukey styles. In fact, several of their current men's items feature this woven canvas.

The GG Supreme coated canvas is not comparable, as she is comparing a tapestry-like textile with PVC.

She claimed that the grained leather of the Soho Disco is higher quality than the trim on her outlet bag, which she claims uses cheaper leather found on outlet pieces. Also not true. Gucci uses different leathers on different bags, depending on the style. Some bags have a stiff leather that looks like a buffalo grain is pressed into it, while others use a softer larger-grain leather, at both the outlet and in full-price boutiques. There are several other leathers that Gucci uses too.

It actually annoys me that so many YouTubers spread misinformation based on their very limited knowledge of the brand. They also misinform people about markers for authenticity, causing consumers to doubt their purchase of authentic pre-loved bags and creating nightmares for the customers and the legitimate sellers.
I have the Sukey bag and I love it! It was my first Gucci bag <3 and I still see that print everywhere.

I agree!
I recently found and bought these two pairs from the outlet and was shocked, felt so lucky! :D

Hello Gucci lovers ❤,

The Gucci Outlet at the Bluegrass Outlets in Shelbyville, KY is permanently closed. No announcements made to public. I was there in November, and I stopped by last weekend to find it was closed.
