I checked out the price and basically it's about £1.2K V £2.1K, so take no notice of what I said earlier, that's quite a difference in money

I prefer the first one more and as much as I do like the second one, it looks very south western to me.
There is a green ostrich medium bth on the canadian site and it looks lovely but even with the 50% the price range is still outside of my comfort zone sadly.

That's the bamboo handle colour that I like the best, not the blanched and not the dark stained but the singed over a naked flame bellissimo!!!I know what you mean about the red/white/black one (the real red is much darker IRL BTW). In person it's more gentleman-brogue and less jazzy-cowboy

I prefer this bamboo handle colour as well!
The new ltd. ed. tri-colour is very pretty IRL, but very sporty, very daytime and I was looking for my med BTH to be special occasion/evening as I prefer my large for day... There was a part of me that wanted it just for the workmanship but I couldn't justify it.
but I did find a new BTH yesterday I liked better and she came home with me
I haven't had a chance to take pics of my own, but you all may remember the variation, the bamboo of the handles and beads is covered in leather. I never liked it in pictures but once I saw the leather-grain and how the bamboo underneath is quite apparent I didn't hesitate. The hardware is light gold and sparkles subtly against the pale colour. It will go with everything and yet isn't black, I think it's very special in it's own right but also . A am very happy.

For those that are lucky enough to be considering a new BTH in the sale, they also had the Flora and the animal-printed calf-hair, all still a bit too daytime for what I truly wanted to use the bag for but the Flora will be a total classic. I must say the animal print looked better IRL than in the pics, the colours are darker and subtler too but in the end I went for the most quiet version ever.

Papertiger - I agree with you about the Animal Prints - they do look better in person! Also, the tri-color (red-white-black) is very nice looking, as are the Women's Gia shoes.
GhstDreamer - what a great looking BTH - They call this LAZER CUT Diamante (or reverse Diamante) vs. the Stamped Diamante. I thought about this one for my mother or for my BTH collection; yes, as a guy I do collect GUCCI for my collection.
Someone mentioned previously, although now I cannot find the link - but they mentioned the BTH CALF HAIR. It is still available somewhere but I cannot recall which country had it. The company is constantly changing the website now, especially with all the product going on sale, so you have to keep looking looking at their website.

I agree with you about the Gia shoes, but I had similar in the 1990s and I er...can't go back there
I have plenty of brogues including dark red Gucci ostrich lace-ups that would go well but not too matchy-matchy. Now I've bankrupted myself on sale goods I can't afford the Ltd Ed anyway, but as I said I wanted a med size for evenings and occasions and I just couldn't see this bag working The black calf-hair and others are still on the US gucci.com as is the green ostrich, no enabling here of course

You made a fantastic choice - this bag can take you from day to night from casual to special events. I can't wait to see your pics of this incredible bth!

Looks like you and I went for very similar, delicate looks for our Meds in the end, it's been 4 years of pontificating for me personally, I'd been considering each and every variation and colours (as this thread will attest LOL) and in the end fate chose perfectly for me.
Had they had the diamante at my store, I'd have had a very hard time choosing. What a great opportunity for us both to add to our collections at this amazing price. I feel very lucky.
When you receive your bag I want close-up photos from every angle to drool over
