Not strictly 'Bamboo' but def related

If anyone has any info on the newly launched Bamboo fragrance please let me know, it sounds wonderful, like a prayer answered and I love the bottle :tender: but what's it like really?

If I have time, I'll pop in 'somewhere' and find out

Gorgeous packaging! I seriously don't need any new perfume, but now I want... no, I need this!:giggles:

I hope I have enough time to check it out tomorrow. Gucci Oud is another I want to try, it sound gorgeous too but maybe not for Summer.

My only problem with rose is BF doesn't like it. I have a pure rose by Molinard and when I put it on BF complains someone's used too much air freshener :D Not exactly the desired effect I was hoping for LOL

I had never found a rose perfume I could tolerate until I just bought J'adore L'or by Dior. It's not the original J'adore... it's J'adore L'or, and it's made with rose petals from a special region in France (Grasse, which is famous for its roses). It's definitely rose-scented, but it doesn't hit you on the head... probably because the rose is mixed with vanilla and jasmine. If you live near a Nordstrom, maybe you can try it and see what your BF thinks? My hubby loooooooves it!:graucho:

Thanks for the recommendation, another to check. I've had one of the Summer J'adores , which was lovely. Can't remember the name though :-s

That's the weird thing. Molinard is the original perfumer and all there ingredients come from Grasse. Obviously BF has a childhood memory thing going on LOL :shrugs:

I shall report back with news of Bamboo tonight :salute:

OK, so I hunted far an wide for 'Bamboo'. Apparently, in the UK, it's only available so far at airports and on-line. It sounds like I'd love Bamboo but I can't buy a perfume on-line I haven't tried and once I've opened the bottle to try it obviously I can't send it back. :smash:

...on the plus side I tried Gucci Oud, which smells so, so GUCCI :tender: it also has enormous staying power so I think I may just buy that one :graucho:.

Gucci OUD sounds lovely! I'll have to try it the next time I'm at the Gucci boutique.

I didn't like to ask LOL :graucho:

...and I'm actually wearing his original Gucci Homme today (the one in the black and white box) so that it smells like he's around me even when he isn't :tender:

Certainly, this new Bamboo fragrance launch has rekindled my interest in Gucci fragrances even if I can't get hold of it ha ha :pout: !

Out and about with one of my bamboo babies yesterday! NO Gucci collection is complete without at least one [but preferably several] Bamboo Top Handles

I had purchased a MINI Bamboo Handle Black Patent Leather handbag for my mother during last year's June sale. It took the associate some time to locate one for me, but I finally was able to purchase it. I just have not given it to her as of yet.
